Just stumbled on to this thread. This is a neat tool and thanks for sharing it with the community. Nice to have stats for your manifest in an easy to read format so you can see how you are coming on your unlocks.

It might be neat to run some simple stats. Probably for all the weapons, gears, and consumables.  So the average level (I-X) or amount, and the distribution (x % of the community has the Harrier I, II, III... X).  Seeing the distributions for gear and consumables of course would be great (x% of the community has no medi-gel. would explain so much ;)

Anyway, seems like you could basically have 2 functions and run them across every single stat to generate some neat graphs.

So without BW supplying more data I guess this is wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be great to have some recommendations for highest DPS Assault Rifle for your currently-specced out level 18 Turian Soldier, taking into consideration the options chosen for each power rank, or a selection of best power-to-weight ratio shotguns for your Vanguard etc.

There's a shotgun other than the Reegar Carbine? Can't be true!:innocent:

Actually we have all the weapon info (Cyanon maintains that spreadsheet), but the specific question you want answered is easy since the only decent AR is the Harrier :P (well, Typhoon and PPR aren't horrible).

Anyway, in all seriousness, if you're min-maxing, there are only a few top-tier weapons (1 or 2 a class), so that sort of recommendation engine you're asking for is a bit pointless IMO.

I have a Typhoon IV, a Paladin III, a Javelin IV and a Saber V, but have unlocked neither the Harrier nor the PPR.

Uncommons are a tricky thing because their drop rates seem weird to me. Sometimes I'll get one in the Vet pack, sometimes I'll get two. I'm not sure anyone has reliable enough numbers to do a good estimator.

It seems to me that they usually drop one and pretty commonly drop uncommon disposable equipment instead of weapons/mods/gear. So 1 vet pack = 1 uncommon might not be that far off. Which I guess would mean with 37 ranks to go, I'm ~25 silver games (~30k credits apiece) away from getting all of my uncommon weapons and mods. Uncommon gear is ultra-rare, so I'm not even going to count it.

The 1.8 non-consumable rares per PSP figure: Estimating that downward sounds complicated but doable, but also too depressing to fathom.

A neat idea GB. Depressing to see how much is left for UR though. lol.

How'd you get yours looking like that?

I just took the concept I was given and messed around with it in Photoshop. Mine won't update since it's a static image but considering how long it takes me to unlock gear / UR's I'm fine with it. It was supposed to appear as an omni tool / pause screen mix but I might mess with it and come up with something else.

It's actually worse than that, apparently. Based on the empirical evidence collected by some other forum users, the rate is actually 1.8636 rares per PSP or 0.1364 ultra-rares per pack.

lol..

Earlier it was only 295 packs to finish my URs. I gain 4 URs after that today. Come back and see that I now need 404 packs. --__--

Oh well.. probably a lot more realistic.

I don't get it; 1.8636 sounds like more rares than 1.8, and 0.1364 is a 13.64% drop rate for ultra-rares, up from the 10% I think you had before. How is that worse?

And do we know how many of those 1.8636 were rank IV ammo?

Sorry about that, my nameserver died. Though the machine serving the images was churning along just fine, the domainname wouldn't resolve. It has been fixed now, so images should load properly.

No broken quotas or anything, just the usual crap that happens when you foolishly host your own DNS like I do...
