Leviathan created the Intelligence to solve their thrall species creations destroying their thralls, however in doing so they themselves created that very same problem.

What species that would call itself "Apex"...would do such a moronic thing?

Inside the game I could note the arrogance that usually follows such things, outside of the game...well its been discussed too much as it is, so no need to elaborate.

I am inclined to side with the former though,{mind you it does not mean the latter is no longer applicable} as they seem arrogant in the little discussion with Shepard, especially when they imply that basically their creation is somehow infallible due to them being the creators.

I don't know if the blatant hubris was the entire reason for this addition to the Lore...but it doesnt matter.

The sad thing is, that due to them being such hugely intelligent species, that they could have had a much better role in the ending, rather than some auto-biography from a floating mist (which is also stupid more so now than ever, you ALWAYS create something in your image, perhaps the visual element is just for show...but it does not bode well with me.)

All the endings bar Refuse i suppose, can have Shepard being brought back, though differing levels of science fiction is required here.

Destroy is the easiest, the Leviathans could simply repair his body, no serious fiction required.

Control is also perhaps quite easy, now that Shepards entire mind was basically copied into the Leviathans knowledge, they could simply take the man out of the machine.

Synthesis...Gee, uhh requires some serious fiction, I am personally thinking of coalesing his essence (which is basically all over the galaxy at this point, perhaps there is no need for the inprint from the Leviathan "scan", but well its really only up to the developers what fiction they would wish to follow.

Unfortunatly they shall not do this because i am afraid that...ironically they have only copied their own hubris in DLC form...if you catch my drift...since im making it blatently obvious. ^_^

I enjoyed the expansion, it did not do anything wrong in my eyes, I simply thought that it could have had consequences.
