So much so that if I want to start a new game, I need to delete a character because I've reached the limit of how many different builds I have.

I'm currently on my 28th play through a female dalish elf with the hots for Alistar hehe. Though I seem to keep getting drawn back to the game for so many memoriable in game chat from my squad members makes it so worthwhile. I usually have Winn in my party an what she does to Alistir just makes me burst into laughter everytime, the sock in her bag with his name on it or the fact that she noticed Alistar staring at my elf's butt.  One of my favorite moments is back at camp when you get Leliana to sing around the campfire.
I do so love this game.

Six complete playthroughs, and a further two that I started and abandoned. And it's different every time.

I'm a little embarrassed how much time this game has sapped from me, but it really is terrific. SO replayable.

Thank you for the tip! Were it meant for me, that is. I've actually romanced Zevran once already. It was during my male Human Noble playthrough. I must say I keep being drawn to my favourite character in every game. However, Alistair doesn't like boys. Ah well~
Zev is definitely a pleasant love interest. He's not my type but it was interesting to explore the character and I was surprised how nice some parts of his romance were. With all that said, I don't think I'll return to him anytime soon. I like him more when he's my PC's friend. As I do with Leliana. However, I haven't tried her yet.

All right, I think I have my fourth playthrough in mind. I think I'll make another male noble. It'll fit to my master plan nicely, muhahaha~

I'm not sure of an exact number, but it's well over a dozen.  I'll have conversations with people about what new games they're playing and often I tell them that I'm currently playing Dragon Age...still.  I've gotten all of the achievements, which include playing all of the origins and seeing all of the romances.

Leliana's a nice love interest.  She's an adventure seeker and wants to see the world.  I also like how she seems to have a story about every place she's been to.  "If you think you're being watched in the Brecilian Forest, you are."

Oooo... I am the late joiner here...only got the game weeks ago. Already on my second playthrough....its an amazing game...maybe even better than Mass Effect... am planning on doing more playthroughs...at least one for each background origin

A dozen or so. Once for all male origins, once for female Brosca, Tabris, and Surana... started fem Cousland, but she's still waiting in Ostagar. And I replayed my main playtrough two or three times - every time I changed computer. xD

I romanced all characters... till I got the achievement. After that, all my characters ended with Zev. The fem Cousland will end with him, too, once I get to play her. Sorry, Al... you're nice as a little brother, but too whiny for a romance.

I've completed Origins four times total, three times as a city elf, once as a dwarf noble, every time male warrior. I've started more characters than those four though. I think I must have made it to Ostagar with between 20 to 30 different characters, and completed one or more main quests with around eight (other than the four full playthroughs). This is how it usually is with me in games... I lose interest in a character after a few hours and start over again!

Three characters survived the purge: Dalish, dwarf commoner, and human mage.

I've lost track, I haven't played a male noble through to King but my husband is playing that now so will be interesting to see, I still need to play Dwarf Commoner as well. My most favourite origin was the Dwarf female noble, who knew I would get so engrossed over a dwarf love story lol And as mentioned by others, I prefer Zevran for romance - in fact I was never satisfied with the end events until I romanced him. I love my mages though, I just wish there was an apostate origin - for now I just settle with the Dalish Mage mod.

Over 18 times I think since it only allows you to have six at a time and I've cleared through it twice, although you have to take the DLC into question so I'm not entirely sure.

This is probably one of my top ten all time games and I can see myself playing it as long as I have the equipment to do so. I will take breaks but it is just such a good game. Keeps you coming back.

I'd say probably 20+, simply because I love to see all of the different outcomes.

You mean your copy only allows six characters at a time?

Just got the Enhanced Edition and on my 3rd full play-through (including Awakenings etc.) - can't believe how superb this game is still! Seriously if they updated the graphics a bit (the hands are what grate me the most) then I'd be quite happy purchasing bundles like the Enhanced Edition at a budget price from now until forever (although Awakenings did show a bit too much of a few DA 2 aspects to it).

They'd have been far better off releasing a new 20 hour adventure of DA:O's quality every few months rather than DA:2.

I delete characters as fast as I make them. This play through will be the 3 one out of this run. When I first got the game I had play through for each Origin and a couple extra for my fave Origin: Dalish.

I'm quite bad for starting new games, investing hours in them, then starting a new one because I've thought of better spell/talent combinations. I've only ever beaten the game once, despite the hundreds of hours I have spent playing.

Ack! that's me too!  I am starting (well almost finnished)  my DEF 'cus I erased my first one and I wanted to download her into Witchhunt.
And thanks to some MOD's I had to play the HMF again...and the HNF...
