BioWare actually said that?greengoron89 wrote...
"We want Skyrim's audience." Well good luck with that.
But if I were making the game, I'd rather have DA:O's audience instead.
But i agree i don't want another game like Skyrim, i already have Skyrim bought it, beat it, done if i wanted another Skyrim game i could just restart Skyrim or buy the DLC for skyrim.
Yeah sure it depends on what BioWare is taking notes on but really i think BioWare should take notes FROM US the FANS brilliant idea's all over these forums take notes from that not another video game i like BioWare's style. Skyrim's style is WAY different.
They said they wanted Call of Duty's audience too and we see how that turned out. I'm no huge MW fan but I'd much rather play that than DA 2. And something tells me I'll still be playing Skyrim long after stores have a 50% off sticker and a thick layer of dust on DA 3 if DA 2's direction has any indication on the final product. I still have hopes that it might be decent.
There's alot Bioware could learn from Skyrim and Bethesda, and Bethesda from Bioware. As others have said art direction, character skill building, crafting and background lore are both pretty solid in Elder Scrolls games and could be a great inspiration, not to copy but simply inspire. Bethesda always needs more solid NPC interaction and could learn that from Bioware. I also wish Bioware would give accessability back to a modding community. DA 2 wasn't very modding friendly because Bioware didn't want it to be without alot of tinkering around when they gave such great freedoms to the players in the past with NWN and DA:O to mod their games and create additional content.
