Hi. How do you determine the value for Metamagic and TargetType in spells.2da? NWN2Wiki says only a few values 0x01 for empower, 0x02 for extend, etc. And seeing the contents of my spells.2da, I see only values like 0x3f, 0x7f, etc. How do you arrive at such values? You add the hexadecimal values of the metamagic or targettype? Can anyone help me out with that one...I couldn't find any tutorials to learn it myself.

This isn't scripting perse, but I'd be using the spells.2da for custom spell scripts. So I hope I got this posted on the proper subforum.

Geez! I get it now! My first assumption was correct. These are bit flag toggles. 0x3f is 63 meaning to say it's 111 111. And all metamagic have been toggled. Same concept for TargetType. It doesn't come naturally for me though, it might take a while getting used to this numeral system.

take a look at my never launcher, if you open spells.2da ( using file open or the button to open a file ), or otherwise open that 2da with the app, it gives you menus and check boxes for all the values.

Might help somewhat since I basically did those features for when i was working on custom spells.

Wow, that's a pretty nifty work you got there. Amazing, groundbreaking even, judging from the description. It even has the level cap increase that I didn't know exist. I'll be sure to check that, thanks for the heads up. I don't know anything about persistent worlds; this could also be used just to play the OC or other modules, right? ...I just read the entire thread; to my understanding, this isn't working for SP just yet? Is that still being worked on? :-)
