So I finished ME3 on Insanity as a Soldier about a month ago and was wondered what class everyone else has completed with or still attempting Insanity on and what they think the best class is for the difficulty. In my opinion, I was stupid to try Soldier but it worked out in the end.

Also, I'm wondering who else completed the final stand while waiting for the Destroyer to get in range without dying. I actually found it pretty easy.

All of them. Sentinel was the easiest for me. Tech Armor + Defense Matrix = Walk in the park.

Played all of them on it, Soldier the most.

I agree with above, probably Sentinel is the easiest, although Vanguard with Nova isn't all that bad. Infiltrator is also quite good via multiple builds. Adept and Engineer are powerful when you combo correctly. Soldier is also more than a match for Insanity, although you will be relying more on squadmates for combos unless you take a biotic or tech bonus power. This assumes you are going Incendiary Ammo.

Actually, a Soldier can set up and detonate Cryo Explosions, Tech Bursts, and Fire Explosions all on their own. Ammo Powers are viable primer powers, and Concussive Shot is a valid detonator.

I actually found the Vanguard the most difficult play through; in that I died a more times than normal on certain sections that shouldn't have been difficult due to in accessible areas I'd Nova a few enemies and attempt to BC the marauder shooting at me and I couldn't because the area was inaccessible.

The remaining classes were a cake walk.

Hence why I said it assumes you are going Incendiary Ammo, which is the most effective ammo power for a Soldier to use.  At that point you are limited to Fire Explosions, which are not nearly as easy to get as Biotic Explosions or Tech Bursts.  You can of course take Carnage which makes that a little simply, but you still have to time it correctly.  In most cases it isn't worth worrying about if you have IA leveled all the way to Explosive Burst.

Tried on all but for my style of play - mix of both ammo/powers - Sentinel was easiest I thought. Yet I think I found Vanguard easier for ME2. But def Sentinel for ME3. worked really well with Liara and Garrus.
