Neither Deus Ex nor ME3 was the 1st to have a similar ending to that.

Ok, I for one am done with this. I don't care to rehash what has been done because that's a bit like reliving it all. Move forward and be productive. BW and fans, all fans and not just the so-called haters, need to get back to some real middle ground. I have no idea why one person felt the need to bring up all that garbage, but I am for damned sure not going to apologize for making any death threats that I didn't make nor condone. I don't wish harm to anyone even those that have been especially nasty here.

Be done with that stuff. I can't change what others have done. And better things could lie ahead.

Then you would be mistaken. Jennifers family was threatened as just a recent example.

Secondly people are not looking for a middle ground in here, I posted a middle ground a way to keep Biowares product as they wanted it while giving some people what they wanted aka Harbinger additional confrontation, LI Reunion and expansion on the Refuse option to make it more emotionally impactive choice but in keeping within the framework of refuse equals loss but additional cinematics of a brave and heroic fight to the end handled in an emotional way. The reaction got was "ME3 Sucks!", followed by a demand (not compromise) in which said nothing short of conventional/unconventional refuse=win is acceptable. Sorry but some people here in this thread do not know what compromise means. If you get everything you want, it is not compromise.

MOST people that have complained have not actually made a threat. For example. Within pages 1-5 in these forums could you find 1 actual death threat? I doubt it.

And how many of those threads have people complaining in them?

The endings are fine now, except Refusal. ME3 was never and should never have a perfectly happy ending. The enduring theme of the series is that sacrifices have to be made. To give the series a happy ending would be insulting to the Reapers as an enemy. They are an unstoppable race of giant machines, and you expect Shepard to walk out all fine and dandy? Nope.

Tweak Refusal so that you win, but like 90% of all life is wiped out and we're cool.

How is that when Bioware did try on several occassions while all that filled those topics were rage whether it was here on BSN or on Twitter.

You never know. They may have planned a DLC like the arrival that adds another way to potentially end the trilogy on.

In ME2 blowing up the collector base was the end. But continuing, (yes I know you can't continue in ME3 but I'm basing this on past DLC release events)...... continuing past the collector base gave you The Arrival DLC that, being the last DLC produced for ME2 had another bookend feel to it. i.e. It didn't feed into further events within the game but served as a bridge between ME2 to ME3.

Maybe they won't, or can't do something similar in ME3. But from past form the last DLC BW release should be one that rocks the game. Cause every game developer wants to end their games on a high note and the ECDLC 'Retake' movement etc, have pretty much told BW that a significant portion of fans didn't get that high.

Realistically, we're not going to get what we want (apologies, dlc's, etc.) unless we make the corporation feel it in the wallet. So if enough of us don't spend money on Bioware products, they'll begin to understand that what they're doing doesn't please their customers. So do what I do, if you want change, keep your change.
