I can't process that much suspension of disbelief. Bioware forced us to swallow the impossible when they killed and resurrected Shepard in ME2. All ME2's opening did was make me wonder if Shepard was still Shepard, was still human.

Asking me to go there again, at the end of the trilogy feels cheap. It devalues Shepard, for me, and takes me out of the game I had been playing, and dumps me into a RoadRunner cartoon.

Instead of a satisfying ending I feel trolled.

Okay. For people like me who have always viewed Shepard as Space Batman, none of this requires much of suspension of disbelief, and in fact feels in line thematically with Shepard's character.

If he lives, he is alive and if he dies he is not. There are 2 interpretations of that breath. Either it is Shepard's first breath after recovering, or it is Shepard's last breath before dying.

And by not listening to your fans effectivly killed the franchise. Selling out to EA killed both Mass Effect and everything Bioware stood for, which in the end made the docs leave. Good luck in the future Chris... I'm sure ther's a banana adventure remake to be done in the name om EA.

Oh I forgot... Happy endings are not art! Am I still angry because of the lousy endings? YES! Did the DLC make it any better? NO. Will future DLC's change the fact that you missed out on an epic ending? NO! REMAKE FREAKING ENDING so it has the crap ending that was delivered with it (to please those who liked that), Extended (for those who settled with that) and a wanted _HAPPY ENDING_.

Oh yes, telling them the DLC they spent 2 months on was utterly worthless will inspire them to spend a few more months on similar DLC.

I did not say it was worthless, I said I was still angry. The DLC did not conclude the franchise for me. That's all. I guess there are others who feel the same way.

It is worthless. Let's not candy-coat that, the Extended Cut is worthless. It did not address the key reasons the community dislikes the original endings. The Extended Cut was made explicitly to clarify -- while it surely did need clarification, it's the choices we're given that are appalling moreso than the lack of clarity.

Working on a new DLC that addresses the actual concerns of the community and not just what they think we should settle with is the objective. And let's be clear with this, yes, I'd pay for it.

They listened to all fans and decided which feedback to do, common mistake on here the difference between listening to it and agreeing with it. They was never going to do every single persons ideas for DLC and the feedback that was okay to use is ones that do not replace their story with fan fiction. It is still Biowares game that you decide to buy or play. Bioware have done more than most over the years in giving player freedom but it has always been limited to within the boundries of the story Bioware wanted to create.

They have not killed the franchise and vast amounts of people still enjoy the ME series and the franchise. Also the docs said themselves they did not leave because of EA or the feedback but instead to pursue other hobbies. The DLC made it better for a huge amount of people. Even Drew which is who some people wish had stayed with Bioware said himself he liked EA and they were good people to work with. Really the crux of it is simply people with conspiracy theories in this regard.

I agree fully. No need to revamp the whole Priority: Earth, just add to the ending so there's one proper ending for everyone. A "happy ending" shouldn't be like a curse word. Some players wanted to see their Shep dead at the end and they got it and are happy with it. Good for them. But BioWare really should've respected the players who - after all these years - wanted and were expenting a happy ending+reunion. A happy end -choice would not destroy the game or devalue it in anyway, like the current situation is effectively doing now.

Does anyone else agree that the SR2 should not have been able to make that pick-up in the extended cut for your squad mates; I was under the impression that the SR2 was too large to land which is why you need shuttle escorts. They seem to have missed this little fact in the opening of ME3 and the EC?

The ship is very similar to the Systems Alliance's SSV Normandy SR-1, having been based on the design layout of the original. The Normandy SR-2 has several key differences, the most significant being that it is almost twice the mass of the original. Cerberus also designed the ship with more crew-oriented comforts by including civilian-grade accommodations (like leather chairs and a kitchen). The ship still retains the SSV Normandy SR-1's stealth characteristics. However, unlike the SR-1, the SR-2 cannot land on every planet—due to its increased mass—requiring shore parties to use a shuttle to get to a planet's surface.

It shouldn't be able but that pick-up is just about the only good thing in the whole EC. About SR2's ability to make landings in ME3... well, it' just one of the countless failings in a very long list.

They needed a way to explain the derp of what happened to the squad. 'Don't like that? Here, eat this.'

Whatever. At this point, it's alright. I don't find the suspension of disbelief all that bad compared to other things. It's a net positive.

I don't speak for the community? And you do? Hah. Remember which thread you're in. You're out of your depth.

That vast amount of people liked EC? Prove it. Because I can prove the opposite and have on many occasions. (The only polls regarding EC was whether it "met expectations," which doesn't translate into liking it. Only what they expected, given the explicit reason d'etre as Chris wrote for it.)

Again, the endings suck. If you don't agree with that notion, it's time to pack your bags and find the door, because that's the explcit purpose of this thread. Don't worry, we're not fascists like you, we won't ruin your endings, we just want expanded ones for ourselves and those of like mind. Nothing but good things can come of that.
