In my opinion as well, perhaps the deeply wounding element that already put you in a squirming discomfort is the NPC-ifitcation of otherwise deeply written Characters from ME2 that were nailed into the background and reduced to holo-vids, 5 second cameo appearances, and in some cases --- " Twitter Deaths" which is just as bad. Why would you bother to make personal connections that were ending-specific for ME2 and then trash them all in ME3? Why... oh why...

I just meant the scene. I do agree with you, that the way Anderson died was just despicable, not a way another hero should go down and yes, there should've been an option to save him.
I may disagree with a lot of folk on these forums as the endings didn't bother me one bit save for the relay explosions (Solved as of EC), but I think I might be in a majority as far as that scene is concerned, I was sniffling and tearing up as Anderson and Shepard looked down on wartorn Earth
As I mentioned, I’m not against Anderson dying. Thane and Mording deaths were beautifully crafted. They died while you were trying to save them. In Anderson’s case, YOU were the one who caused the mortal wound and you didn’t have any input in the action. That would’ve been fine in a movie. I don’t know you, but I find the concept very disturbing in an interactive media like a videogame

It's a war with millions of casualties daily, you don't always get to personally see the people you know die. She was a minor character at the end of the day, and while I think they should have just included her over Allers, it really isn't a big deal that she was killed offscreen. Executer Pallin was killed offscreen and he had more presence in the main story than Emily Wong did. Nobody complains about that though.MrnDpty161 wrote...
@ Lord Asier --- She was in e-mail form and before that she was in ME1. The principle of the matter, is that it wasn't even in-game. Its these small details that did not carry on and were rudely abused which adds on to other flaws that make you go ---- Huh?

Which doesn't change the fact that she was a well liked character. Or the fact that there were several enjoyable missions for her in ME1. Mass Effect did not begin with ME2.
I actually think Allers is an okay character, but it still irritates me that we got her instead of Emily Wong, who I got to help out and build a connection with in ME1.
The sad thing is... I could have maybe accepted Emily Wong's death if it had happened in game, if we had a chance to interact with her first. I think someone else pointed out that it would have been a very powerful scene.

Nope. Put the disc in the night of the midnight laucnh, got past Palaven and just stopped playing after that.
I was extremely spoiler friendly when it came to all the leaks for ME3 (from the scripts posted on Pastebin down to the footage uploaded to youtube from people who got copies from the Space Launc PR stunt), because I wanted to know what to expect from what many of us were hoping would be an amazing send off for Shepard and for this story arc of Mass Effect. By the time March 3, 2012 came around I was already fully aware of the "rumors" going around about the RGB endings.
I tried to give Bioware the benefit of the doubt that the endings weren't going to be what we thought, but when you have people who have actually gotten early copies of the game posting and uploading videos that they are what was being said, it's hard to argue.
I tried doing my cannon Femshep play-through and after Palaven I just gave up. I knew what was going to happen at the end. I hated it and they made no sense to do such a thing when we've spent over 100+ hours on this series just to get our control of what happens in the end ripped away from us and have to deal with Sparkle Brat.
I turned off my 360, put the game back in its case (I picked up the CE), put it on a shelf I haven't touched it since.
