It's just frustrating to see so many good ideas thrown out there by people here on BSN, and then someone from Bioware pretty much saying that's never going to happen.  I will give them props for sticking to their guns no matter what Image IPB

Yeah. That's what I don't understand when some people claim that EA had a hand in the endings. Surely if EA was involved as heavily as some believe, the ending would have been changed to the sunshine and unicorns finale as that would have maximised profits.

Regardless, I've derailed enough. I will say though, Dav3VsTh3World, that I do like the idea of finding out what's behind the Citadel Relay. I remember reading a post about a "Dark Citadel" (In the Fan Creations forum - I think). That seemed pretty interesting.

Have you found anything else Isaac? You're kind of our Shepard here...

Yes, he did say Leviathan and future SP DLC can have an 'effect' on the ending. I hope it's something a little more than a line or two of throwaway dialogue with the catalyst.

I'm with you on that one.  Only time will tell I guess

This is Greek to me, but cool. Looking forward to more tidbits for this. Wonder what we're looking at for a release timetable. I'm guessing Nov/Dec.

I'm not sure. Omega is probably slated for November so this Citadel DLC wouldn't come sooner than early next year probably

weren't there supposed to have two new places on the citadel to go in with the levi dlc all i could find was the lab

Nothing :( I read TLKs from Levi but except for one new Shotgun mod and MP-exclusive powers there wasn't anything that would raise my eyebrow there. If there's something hidden somewhere else, I wouldn't know where to look. TLKs and Coalesced were my bets

We will probably have to wait for next MP DLC or item pack to see if something new sneaks in the files

It's shown in Isaac's first post in this thread:

Look at the list on the right.

Check the first post. Omg00x and OmgHub are Bioware's style of naming Omega levels. Omega hub in ME2 was named the same so most people expect that Omega hub will be added in the next DLC along with 1-time story missions (Omg001, Omg002 etc) to retake Omega

I wonder if the Omega Hub will only last for the duration of the DLC, like Bryson's Lab? Not that I can really complain about a new hub, whatever it's accessibility length may be.

I would hope not, but it is a possibility. I would much rather have Omega hub get unlocked as a reward for finishing the main 'retake Omega' story, like Broker's ship was unlocking at the end of LOTSB. The fact that they named it specifically OmgHub (instead of Omg00x like Bryson's lab was named Lev001) would rather suggest that it could indeed be real, true hub, available at any point for players.

Good point. Can you think of any reason why the Omega files seem to follow a different naming structure than the Citadel and Leviathan files? I'm referring to the Omg000 and Omg02a. The other files (Cit/Lev)are simply named 001-004

I posted a while ago I thought New citadel DLC could be an entierly branched ending, allowing you to hear about the Illusive man attacking the Ciradel before you attack his base.

What ever it is, I hope it involves the keeper tunnels. I've wanted to know what's downt here since ME1.

No idea lol. Maybe it represents changes during developement in the past few months (for example, they scrappd Omg002 and names new one Omh02a), or maybe the name is a remnant of pattern when Omega was still suppoused to be in the main game (before getting cut), or maybe 02a has Miranda version while 003 has no-Miranda version. The last option sure would be nice ;P

And yeah, Omg000 is weird. Maybe it's just some small starting level? Maybe just for cutscenes, I dunno ;P

Possibly. Maybe a few space-battle cutscenes before the actual landing on Omega?

I seem to remember that a lot of the soundtrack files from the original release of ME3 also had the "Omg" prefix attached to them.

I just thought it was omg because the music was exciting or something...

Ok, I checked TLK files in Levi, nothing about Omega or Citadel DLCs so we only have this, list of levels. Maybe some new stuff will be found in future MP DLCs or weapon packs like we did in Firefront

The Omega.hub means it'll be a hub-world, yea?

Isaac?

Not necessarily, and here's an example of why it might not:

The hub could simply be in the context of the DLC, rather than a place with people/events/markets occuring after the DLC is complete.

To take an example, the over-map of the Overlord DLC was, in fact, a hub. It was in no way a hub world, but it was a central nexus from which all the combat zones were reached.

Well, Leviathan already did most of it, to the point that some of the questions Shep asks the Catalyst now are simply redundant since he knows the answers already

Yeah, it was clearly written for the original ending.

Which is a little disturbing, to have the only exposition for the dumb kid come from paid DLC (obviously, that was the original plan).

Given its status as interesting but unnecessary, I'm more or less fine with the idea of putting this sort of exposition into side-story DLC. Conceptually it's similar to those ideas of First Contact War DLC, or Romance DLC that adds more content with the LI's: it isn't critical to the plot, but it's still interesting.

And honestly, between DLC that does have an obvious tie-in to the plot and backstory, such as Leviathan, and DLC that does not, such as Overlord, I'd prefer Bioware spend time on story-related content rather than stand-alone content. Yes, it does open the opportunity for abuse by deliberatly leaving things out of the main game, but it can also be a good way to address things that aren't critical, but are present.

It has to be the fall of the citadel.

There is no other explanation.
