It has to be the fall of the citadel.

There is no other explanation.

So would Shepard be in it or what?

No

I bet Bioware tries a different angle here....they seem to want to do a different thing for DLCs. For Shadow Broker, it was the car chase...for Leviathan, it was the underater section and the investigations, for this one, it may be a different protagonist, perhaps Bailey.

Uhhhh.

I'm sorry but this DLC sounds like a disaster. It had some potential in that we might have finally been able to see those collected Citadel war assets in action, but beyond it just doesn't sound like a good idea. First off the ending to this DLC is going to be pretty nihilistic (even with all collected Citadel assets). Second, playing as a linear character other than our avatar (Shepard) for a couple of hours just won't fly with RPG fans.

Perhaps it will be a DLC where you go to more secrets on the Citadel and find out the origins of the Keepers.

Most of them aren't western RPGs.

But I see your point. It still won't fly for most ME fans.

We already had Leliana's Song.

And we did play Joker in ME2.

OR... or... Bioware doesn't  make any further SP DLC because people would rather youtube Leviathan  than buy it for $10, showing them that SP DLC for ME3 isn't worth the cost of further development. Then Bioware proceeds to pump out more MP DLC, which is  successful at generating money.

...

Yup.

The Fall of the Citadel.... an EVENT THAT Should have been the big moment of the game
as DLC could work... but it be the wierdest to implement since it has to happen at the end.

Granted You'd think the citadel being tken wouldn't be something you could ignore... seeing that everybody and thier mother woold be radioing for help

Has anyone thought that these Citadel files could just be new locations on the station that are used for the Omega DLC?

Um, has this been stated? I think the "Cit" files are just the post-dlc version of Citadel levels where you can take rapid transit to the normandy.

For about 5 minutes.  It was great, but brief.

It really remains to be seen what they'd do with this if this happens-it really would be a problem since it would involve timing it correctly.  Whereas Leviathan or LOTSB could be played at any time, if this were the fall of the citadel it would have to occur at a pretty specific point with a specific saved game.

Of course, it also might mean they'd have to turn out some of the lights that are still on on the citadel.

I'm sorry to drag the thread in this obligatory route, but - why couldn't the Citadel DLC be that bigass rumoured post-ending DLC? It'd make sense for it to be called 'Citadel' and continue on from Shepard's dramatic breathing cutaway shot, considering the Citadel is where Shepard is situated - more or less - at the ending of the game. Something similar re: ending DLC ("The Truth", I think?) was mentioned in the DLC leak at the beginning of the year, and to add more credibility to that leak, it was mentioned alongside the race multi-player packs that have all come to pass in the last couple of months. This week, CleverNoobNetwork on Youtube talked about having a connection in Bioware who stated there would be a large ending DLC coming out in the Q1 of 2013, currently called 'Project X'. (Which sounds like bad porn. Or a new Powerpuff Girl.) Obviously, hearsay from a Youtuber should be taken with a teensy-tiny grain of minuscule sea salt, but I thought it was interesting that a large post-wake-up DLC could potentially exist, and that the files being called "Citadel" could mean DLC logically leading on from that point without too much reaching.

Yes, IT Theory, blah-blah, etc-etc-etc, I've got my tin-foiled hat sitting firmly on my head, I know! It's very shiny and reflective. But what else is Shepard going to do at the Citadel, anyway, play Let's Follow The Keeper*?

(Or it could all be nothing and just miscellaneous files, in which case we'll all go and sob in a corner. With our Mass Effect Dating Sims.)

* Dear Bioware, I would buy this DLC. We would go around cleaning up the Citadel with Shepard's LI and it would be riveting.

You have a point on that one, since it happens while you're assaulting the Illusive Man's Base.

Yea for like 3 minutes. Mass Effect DLCs are usually 2-3 hours in length.

The only Citadel DLC I would want is to continue fighting my way to the console. Wrex grabs Shepard and carries him into the beam. You meet up with Bailey, Aethyta and the resistance and all that nice stuff.
