The plot and the whole "wider audience" crap.

The developers being so full of themselves post-release.

While I've made my peace with the problems of the game for the most part, the big three that I can't decide on are:

1. The dramatic shift in story at the last 10-20 minutes
2. The complete lack of war assets showing up on earth. Really that was the most disappointing level in the game
3. The treatment of majority of the ME2 cast

I'm worn out on talking about what's wrong with the ending so I won't get into it. And I can somewhat understand that having everyone capable of dying in the SM in ME2, along with a huge cast, contributed to what happened to the ME2 squad. But really all the potential the priority earth mission had, all the talk, the hype, the journey leading to this final moment...the most important part of the trilogy and it ended up being very bland.

So I guess if I had to choose I'd say priority earth.

The Catalyst and its "solution": that ruined both the Reapers and the whole series for me.

It was kind of short.

This, the missions were great, but the game a little on the short side.  Could just be my perception it.

Too much linearity and the endings sucked (both originals and EC).

Probably coz we only got half the game on the disc.

1. Not enough *showing* me a story that is about my Shepard, and WAY too much *telling* me a story about who Bioware wants Shepard to be. (Autodialog). There is no frakking way that my Shep would have EVER said the line, "So TIM was right all along." Less than zero chance of that, Bioware, thank you very much.

2. The ridiculous plethora of lies

3. Story wise, it's clear to me that From Ashes was a part of the main game in the beginning. The overall arc of ME1-ME3 is NOT complete without it. Stripping it out to make it day one DLC was a kick in the face to all fans, whether they feel that way or not.

4. Being forced to participate in activities outside the single player game in order to have the best experience in-game. 100% BS. Yes, that is alleviated for the most part of the extended ending DLC, but it shouldn't have been this way to begin with. The Multiplayer aspect of the game should have been the day one DLC for people who give a frak about it. I do not.

5. Priority:Earth is rancid. The endings, and the options involved, are all ludicrous. It made me feel like every single second I spent playing the series was wasted. Not to mention that the Destroy ending, which for me is the most preferential option, makes all the time my Shep spent helping EDI and the Geth a complete waste as well. Dear Writers: making the time your customer spends playing your game seem moot is NOT the way to build rapport with them. It's mind-boggling that anyone should have to point that out.

6. I feel no desire, and as far as I can tell Bioware has given less than zero incentive, to buy Leviathan or any other single-player DLC. I bought everything there was for ME1 and 2.

Ok, i really like the game and the series, but there are lots of flaws, that negate it to access to the list of my fav games of all time

Here we go...

Choices you made in the previous games: you have the feeling that something has been taken away from you (rachni queen, cerberus etc...)
Harbinger: still trying to figure out why they almost got rid of him
Priority earth: i guess it's ok, not great, just ok... but the total lack of war assets, me2 squad mates involvement etc... is a huge disappointment
Endings: with EC we had a sort of improvement, but still i have the feeling they could have handled the entire situation in a much better way
From ashes: should have been included in the game, not sold as dlc
Exploration: kind of annoying after a while, i don't hate it but could have been way better
Fetch quest: hate them
War assets: the idea is ok, but needs more development

Auto-dialogue. Never used to mind it that much, but now the lack of choosing an option is grating on my nerves. I mean, let's face it, the dialogue wheel was one of the biggest and well-known staples of the Mass Effect series. To shed it down so much was... problematic.

Apart from that, I'm okay with everything else.

The final mission was terrible (which I'm guessing is why the point of no return wasn't directly before it) and the lack of side missions was pretty poor.

I also didn't like having only one renegade interupt on Udina. It needed 4 or 5...... or 10 or 11.

Boring last mission
Linear levels without any things to discover
Fetch quests -> the new low point in history of side quests.

Mine would be that it should have been ME 2.  The plans for the Crucible should have come from Vigil, along with the code to open the Citadel in ME 1, and from there it could end just as it does.  We now have the 2 years we spent dicking around with Cerberus, dead and then whatever time we spent actually hitting the Collectors, doing the run around and unite the galaxy trip, to include or not fighting against Cerberus.  The attack on Vancouver should have been the end of what would now be ME 2; cliff hanger FTW, and then in ME 3 we do some fights here and there getting the final pieces of the Crucible puzzle put together, get it in position, and then firing it off.

I'm with those who say it was too short. For me, I'd have been happy to end at London and wait for ME4 for the conclusion - the game's just too big for a trilogy to do it justice.

The fact that it has the audacity to call itself a Mass Effect game.

No side quests (eavesdropping on people, scanning a system, and getting a number is not a side quest).
No exploration
Autodialog
Fewer dialog options
Choices that didn't have any effect
Ignoring choices from previous games
Multiplayer
Tali's face
Lack of character interaction with the ME2 characters
A plot that rapidly breaks down in coherence
A complete flustercuck of an ending
