Ok so heres the problem, I recently just purchased a copy of Mass Effect 3 for pc and the only thing that works is singleplayer. I had downloaded all of the multiplayer DLC and the Extended cut and sometimes when I launch the game it says unable to connect to EA servers. And so all my DLC is unauthorized to use. Other Times it says that I need an online pass to acess multiplayer, which makes no sence because I purchased a new copy and Already entered my authorization code. Now, I know that the servers are somtimes messed up, by reading some of the other threads, But I am constantly getting this message and when I dont it asks for an online pass that I already have entered. I have spent hours looking for a solution but I cant find one that seems to work. If some one can help I would appriciate it very much:).

P.S. I also have Mass Effect 3 on PS3, it is unlikley that that is affecting me trying to play on PC, just thought I would put it out there.

Solutions I have tried: Restarting my router, Reinstalling Mass Effect 3, Reinstalling Origin, Deleting my online Profile ( I made a copy and its back on ) Updating Mass Effect 3, and Repair installing Mass Effect 3.

I have exactly the same problem and, unfortunately, there is no solution from the palyers side. The root of the problem resides in the EA Servers. One day you can play without any problem while the day after you can't even authorize your DLC.

I have been playing the ME3 multi-player for about a day or two. I get disconnected 4/5 matches. I don't think its my connection when my ping is around 20-40. I'll not be lagging then suddenly get disconnected from the game in the middle of the match. Which gives you nothing, sometimes i'll get to round 10 and then get disconnected which means wasted the last 13-5 mins for nothing. I am not seeing this an addressed problem online. Where can I lodge a formal ticket?

I was planing on buying Leviathan, but i guess i can't because I keep getting disconnected from the EA servers, so it wont be authorized to be used. Dang it.

I've had this same problem for close to 3 weeks now and I have only just installed and played Leviathan little over 24 hours ago and it works. Just download and install Leviathan and disconnect your computer from the internet untill you have gotten into the game itself and loaded your save, then you can reconnect your computer and it will still let you play Leviathan without scyncing with the obviously deffective servers.

I've been having the same problem lately, also. Seems like it's a relatively new problem, say, from the last 2-3 weeks or so. Sometimes I'll come back to my comp and there'll be a message saying that Origin is offline and to check my internet connection. Don't see a connectivity issue when playing any other game.

I will share with you my latest attempt to play this game.
I don't know for the console versions but in the pc version when you get into the main menu, you can observe the loading animation in the top-left part of the screen. I noticed that if the animation freezes, then we're logged in and all our DLC will be authenticated, if not... well "you're unable to connect to the EA Server. Try again later".
There is more, even if you managed to access the server, this doesn't mean that you can play the multiplayer game because our multiplayer data are stored somewhere else... So if this second connection fails we will get the "An Online Pass is required...." message if not our galaxy map will appear and finally we can, at last, attempt to play the multiplayer game. :D

Me too. No solution for me yet: EA help are being less than... helpful.

Check out these threads (all about this issue):

To summarise: it's an old issue that Bioware/EA have been aware of a long time and have failed to resolve in any real way. Got to love DRM: ruining the lives of legitimate players everywhere.
