 I'm about at my wits end. i bought the game off amazon a month or two ago, but just now got around to installing it.
anyway i start the game up click play on the loader ang get stuck on a pop up saying that it can't connect to EA servers.

before you flame yes i searched the forum for an answer all the posts that came up were over a year old and if the OP resolved the issue they didn't bother to post about the said resolution.

and yes i've spoken to EA's so called support staff (i don't think any of them actually had a clue)

so anyway if anyone else has had this issue resolved i'd appretiate a little help.

The on-site finder was poorly designed, and never repaired.  It only finds the ancient, useless junk.  Use a professional Search, such as Google or Yahoo, and include a redirection pointed back to here.  There have been threads with answers, I just don't remember what those answers were.

Thanks. you suggestion got me to the answer in like 5 minutes lol. of course i had to look up how to search a specific site with google first heh.

Anyway the problem was in my hosts file if anyone cares

C:\\Windows\\System32\\drivers\\etc is were its located in windows 7.
Just opened up and delete any reference you might find to EA.
