Eyyyyyyyyy!!

Anyway, I'm thinking of going back to my roots with Origins since I havn't used Origins or II for a while. But I wanted to build a rogue that will end up using StarFang (<--?) and the sword you find in Cailen's chest at the 'Return to Ostagar' DLC, with Ancient Elven Armor. The only rogue I've ever played in Origins was an archer, which worked fantastically, but I want somthing different. So my question is: Will this build work, and if it does what skills should I go for? I'm hoping to go more into traps, stealth, and fast quick damage. My wanted game plan: Duplicate metal shards (yeah, yeah, cut me some slack, its not like there is an unlimited amount of them) for shrapnel traps, stealth around enemies, drop them, un-stealth, back stab, then let them run into the traps and die. Fun, right? If this build won't work for this particular play style, what build will? Maby I'll use a bow again to coax them into the traps. That could work too.

Any advice is treasured.

please note my Origins game has NEVER been patched (PS3 ultimate version, came with the DLCs and I can't connect to internet, so i can't patch it) so I don't have any super patch items, and all my skills will be in their origonal state.

For fast damage, probably daggers are better. This build will work sure and since you'll be cunning based, you'll excel in utility as well. Probably bows are better for luring out stragglers, but then for luring you don't need to specialize in archery, anyone can switch to a bow as needed.

If the idea of two swords is really what you want to go with, I would suggest having a mage with Telekinetic Weapons sustained as an ally. That will give the swords a nice increase to armor penetration.

With swords you will need enough strength (31 or more) to wield the swords, so the build is a sort of tank-type rogue based on strength and dexterity. I've built a few of them, and they work quite nicely. Not quite as nimble and hard to hit as a cunning/dexterity-type rogue, but every bit as deadly when it comes to using the dual-wield talents.
