 This is a serious question do please no flaming. :innocent: Anyway, I've (obviously) noticed that Tali has a HUGE amount of people supporting her and her romance. I like Tali, I really do but not as a romance. What is it that her fans find so irresistible?

Also forgot to mention the, "quarian bumbums," I believe they're called.

She is a sweet character, but I've always found her to be sychophantic in her romance sub-plot - not in a disingenuous way, but she just totally fawns over Shepard all the time, with everything you do not being given a second look. That's one of the reasons I like Miranda and Ashley.

ME1 Liara is really innocent and kind of annoying to me. Hated her then because she was the only true representation of the Asari, and she was just there as eye candy. After Shep dies, she becomes colder to fight and save his/her body from the Collectors. 
I LOVE Samara (As you can tell by my name...) and I love Aria too. Image IPB Her b*tchiness is why I love her.

Kasumi is my favorite though.

Huh. I thought this thread was about Tali, not Liara, Aria, Steve, Kaidan, etc.

On Topic: I never really warmed to Tali. She was a forced encyclopedia in ME1 (I tried to leave her behind and found out I couldn't).

In ME2, she doesn't come until late in the game, but she's friendly enough. It was cool seeing her on Freedom's Progress and then recruiting her later on, but I never felt the drive to go for her. It could be because I don't really like the shy/bookish type (it's why I don't really dig Liara either).

From what I gathered, the people who really like her like her because of: 1) her figure 2) they like the shy girl/nerdy type who fawns over Shep or 3) they can't stay away from a mystery (the mask has its own appeal).

She's petite, uber-feminine (excusing the chicken legs), can claim dynamic character development throughout the entirety of the series, isn't an infallible mary-sue, has an excellent voice actor and is generally pleasant to be around.

Not sure if "appeal", but I rather like VO, especially ironic/humorous intonation moments. Since we can't see facial expression, vocal expression works great - not all other VO performed that good. Plus, she got shotgun. Like those.
