I perform thread-necromancy and demand this cryptic math be explained.
It essentially means that the paladin acts like blade armor, even when you are the one actively attacking.
For example:
You melee a cannibal: It takes 400 damage from your melee + 400 from the game thinking the cannibal tried to melee your shield because it came into contact with it.
You melee a brute: It takes 300 (75% modifier vs. armor) damage from your melee + 400 from the game thinking the brute tried to melee your shield because it came into contact with it.

Here's the gist of it. The damage discrepancy between expected (based on data files and in-game descriptions) and observed values, as percentages:
expected / observed
100% / 200% vs Health/Shields/Barrier
75% / 175% vs Armor with Cryo Shield evo
112.5% / 275% vs Armor with Fire Shield evo
The OP already provides in-depth explanations. If there is a particular aspect you found confusing, please be specific

Wow that was very helpful, thanks. You too, OP.

If you reread the OP, it clearly states that Fire Shield only adds damage against armor, and converts a portion of the direct damage to DoT, thus doing 75% of the up front damage (to Shields and Health) that Cryo Shield does.

So i expect that the dase damage is like the Cryo Shiled for HP and shileds and be more vs Armor. After this damage i expect 50% damage over time, against everything
That's what my game says.
It doesn't say "fire shield applies 50% of the damage immediately and 50% over time"....like in Cabal description.

However, the Fire Shield does still increase overall damage against armour and more importantly primes for fire explosions.

You seem to be new to ME3 MP. Power descriptions fail to accurately describe what they do quite often.
