Because of all the hate from all the Mass Effect fans, Hudson and Walters have probably fled to a bunker somewhere in Europe.

I guess there are enough extremist fans in Europe, too. Somewhere outside the western and northern hemisphere, excluding Australia and any continent with an internet connection. Leaves only Antarctica, lol. But who knows what the penguins think of the endings.

Seriously: Many already mentioned this, any statement they would do, would cause rage/sh!tstorms. Let's just wait and drink some tea, to see the great plan unfold.

Casey Hudson is being held on a short leash by EA to make sure he doesn't say anything that could harm EA's image (if that's even possible)

BioWare wanted an extra year to finish ME3, EA didn't want to give them more than 3 months because of money (what a surprise no?). Casey Hudson and the other people at EAWare who really do want to make good games obviously weren't happy with this and were extremely unhappy with how the game turned out in the end, despite of the PR statements they were forced to make earlier...

Obviously EA doesn't want this confirmed by Casey, hence the leash....

Well said buddy, well said :(

Rushing out an incomplete game does sound like something more up EA's alley than Bioware's

I don't think EA ever intended it to be so obviously incomplete, they simply wanted it out the door and get the team working on other projects. A decision that befits a company who sees only money. BioWare had so many plans for ME3 and was designing it to be the best game ever. Then EA informed them they would have until march '12 instead of BioWare's desired December '12 and told them to start cutting content. Plot points were simplified (crucible/catalyst plot) and some were removed entirely (Javik's plot involving Ash/Kaidans parner) and replaced with some quick backup plot that had nowhere near the depth of the original one.

*Sigh* All this talking about what would've been if not for EA makes me sad:unsure:

Maybe it's a simple case of EA/Bioware had a vision of what Mass3 should be and fans just didn't like it......still don't like it.Healthy participation from EA/Bioware in the forums would be impossible I think........with regards to game development there are way to many obvious questions that need answers.....and they simply aren't prepared to give those answers.......hence there's no point in Bioware being involved with the community.

I think they are working, not hiding or avoiding fans.

You are correct, but the overblown egos of these incessant haters makes them think that they are somehow "hiding" from people.  In reality they just don't come here b/c of the den of jackals this place has become.  I don't blame them.

Well really as the main guys of the ME3 team, they have done their job and released their game. I think regardless of whether that game is successful or well liked they are gonna fall back abit, other projects and the like. Also I wouldn't be around either after all this if I were them.

Not to enrage anyone, but we can all agree those two are probably the 2 of the most hated persons on the forum. I would understand if they went into hiding after all that happend.

What a sad thread. I've already seen a few implicit death threats.

Give it a rest, people. They have nothing to apologize for and have nothing to explain.

What death threats? Care to repost them? Opinionated speech isn't polite speech so get over it.

If ME3 had gone over well they would have taken all the credit. Instead they blew it and they have to take the blame.

Well at least you finally came out and admitted that you created this thread to invite a nice round of Hudson/Walters bashing.

It's been 6 months, the worse that can happen to them now is twitter insults. So scary!

Because OP they know the fans are still in an uproar about the EC and know that many of us and still a main majority of us hate the EC and won't say anything other than "Artistic Integrity" and "Artistic Vision" come first.

Fact is they have no artistic integrity or artistic vision. They used a stock photo for Tali instead of rendering out her face in in-game graphics. They used someone elses artwork for that stupid end scene where the old man and child are on that alien planet.

They have NO right to claim artistic integrity or artistic vision. Hell the entire AI child scene was a rip off of Deus Ex video game from 10 years ago. So they are in hiding because they have no choice.

These two use to be very vocal with the press so their silence for the last six months is odd.

Maybe because they didn't want to read vulgar and ridiculous tweets & comments directed at them anymore? Have you actually seen what people sent to them? I did. Had absolutely nothing to do with any criticism, even harsh criticism. And it still goes on. Go to HoldTheLine.com for example, they keep insulting Casey & Mac every day

I've seen some of the comments. I don't know how those people can even claim to be "fans" when they spew hatred like that at the developers.

While I would be more interested in being a fly on the wall and listenting to the entire team for a year or so because I don't necessarily buy right away that it was 100% just Casey & Mac's fault and that nobody else saw the ending or had inputexcept them just because one Bioware developer (we all know who) said so

Are you talking about PW? If so, he dismissed that claim.

Yes, I'd dismiss that claim too if it cost me my job.

This. This whole thing has gotten way too personal. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that their patronage of the ME franchise makes them sooo important they seem to believe that they have somehow been targeted personally by the games shortcomings, and therefore they are owed a personalised apology from Casey et al. It really is time to get a grip and grow up. If anyone here believes that it is perfectly reasonable to incite violence (or condone the incitement of violence) against a person because a videogame didn't live up to their expectations....well, you should be more than ashamed of yourself, you should seek professional help because God only knows what you will do if/when you face a real tragedy. This kind of behaviour from a pathetic minority gives ALL gamers a bad name. They have made us ALL look stupid and childish, sadly at a time when gaming is starting to evolve into a more mainstream entertainment medium.

Unless it's a sincere apology, I can't think of anything I'm interested in either of them, or Dr. Muzyka for that matter, saying.

It's probably not safe for them to go out in public very often.
There are ****ed up people out there who would probably threaten them or worse.
I dislike what they've done with Mass Effect, but I think people (including myself on occasion) blow these things out of proportion.

They've probably seen me camping outside their bunker waiting to give 'em a few solid whacks with my Clue Stick. :P

Joking aside, I'd rather they said something on the matter, show some REAL integrity rather than fobbing us off with that "artistic integrity" (of which they have absolutely none) load of tripe.

I think they realized that they reached "Molyneux" status with all that stuff they said about the endings pre-release and are salvaging their reputation by working extra hard on the DLC and spending less time on social networking websites...

Actually their original planned release date was december 2011, not december 2012.

Then Casey and Mac realised they were too stupid to think of an ending for that time period, so they postponed it until march 2012 and ripped off Deus Ex (their admitedly favorite game)

And despite the "time constraints" a five year old could have probably come off with a better ending for this game in half a day, let alone the three extra months they got to do their ripoff.

Hell a better ending would have just been to get the crucible to cut to destroy cinematics when Shep and Anderson are in the "best seats in the house" scene.

It was done on youtube.

If the comunity had mod kits they might be able to do it themselves. Of course EA forbids mods on origin games. <_<

My "We have everything but the ending what can we do?" answer would have been:

The Crucible is exactly what you said it was. The ultimate weapon against the Reapers. And that EMS meter you guys have? If you have poor EMS it blows up the Sol system but kills all Reapers. Moderate EMS? Kills all Reapers and synthetics/cyborgs. High EMS it kills all the Reapers. Hooray!

It's not perfect but if you only have a few more months to get the ending working and the alternative was what they shipped.... I'd take that standard ending any day of the week.

If this thread is just going to be used for insulting developers, it's going to be closed.

End of line.
