Destroy, Control and Synthesis are the endings Mass Effect 3 deserves... but not the ones it needs!

Because people continuously harass, threaten, and insult them. These same people complain that they aren't interacting enough with the community, but all they are doing is forcing Hudson and Walters to cloister up, avoiding their once active twitter accounts and other outlets. I am sure that they are acutely aware of all the criticism they are receiving, so actively calling for them to be physically assaulted only hurts the image of the fans.

Tbh, I'd give my left ear to be able to sit down with those two somewhere off-camera and talk with them about their vision of ME3's ending. Because I still can't believe they really thought the ending would be fine, the original one, that is. I've been scratching my head for six months about that.

While I would be more interested in being a fly on the wall and listenting to the entire team for a year or so because I don't necessarily buy right away that it was 100% just Casey & Mac's fault and that nobody else saw the ending or had input except them just because one Bioware developer (we all know who) said so

User immersion must have a greater fanrisk factor than first thought?

Really tho, there is no unwritten laws regarding their compelled audience with fans. I pay little to no atttention to it, myself.

As you said, their twitter accounts were very active, bragging about how ME3 was the greatest, how they were the greatest, how the endings were the greatest. Once they got shown up as frauds there is little point of them going on it. They can't brag, because their art was ****. So the best thing to do is go. In all honesty they should both resign.

And those people saying it wasn't just them. Lead Writer and Producer, they call the shots, it was down to them.

It's funny to me, the controversy over the endings. I had no problem with those. I just jumped into the beam like a Good Tool. AND serving my own human purpose of ending the reaper(and lessing the Levi threat to some degree, at least complicating their dominance somewhatly ;) threat. It's what they wanted, to finish their socio genological experiment, and cats neurosis..lol

really tho, the game is simplistic in the choices regard, there is not great satan to upend, just a guess at whats next..

These two use to be very vocal with the press so their silence for the last six months is odd.

Maybe because they didn't want to read vulgar and ridiculous tweets & comments directed at them anymore? Have you actually seen what people sent to them? I did. Had absolutely nothing to do with any criticism, even harsh criticism. And it still goes on. Go to HoldTheLine.com for example, they keep insulting Casey & Mac every day

I've seen some of the comments. I don't know how those people can even claim to be "fans" when they spew hatred like that at the developers.

Yea, some people are immature, some people felt their emotions were betrayed by letting BioWare immerse themselves so much. Downside of social media on the internet. As a professional, you have to be able to handle that stuff though, I guess ignoring everyone helps them handle it.

No, Chris Priestly dismissed that claim by saying he asked Weekes about it. Weekes could have lied and said no, or Priestly could have said it was false to calm the fanbase. His well within his rights as at the time that came out, was near the peak of ME3 ending hatred.

Yup, it's pretty disgraceful, that's why I broke off from the movement, right around the time they wanted to put billboards up around edmonton... Image IPB

It's funny, I have more faith in BioWare now than I have ever had before. I don't think these endings will be the last we here of Shepard. Not that there will be a sequel. But I do believe there will be something more going on here with Shepard's ultimate fate. S/he just didn't receive the love I thought the character would, the love that the character deserves.

You DO realise the "bilboard" thing was actually a joke right?

Furthermore, I guarantee that there are no more/no less insults given to Mac and Casey on the HTL forums than the BSN forums themselves. And the BSN forums shouls actually be "moderated" for such things, which says quite a bit.

In fact, altogether I'd say there was more hate spewed on BSN than on HTL. But HTL are still quite bitter about the whole thing and might still be hating, dunno don't go there anymore *shrug*

Also, the billboard thing was a joke, but it was serious at the same time. They were actually going to do it, jokingly. They just couldn't raise the money. I think it was something like $10K.

And by all reports, it was them.  I can't imagine some staff writer being able to overcome their control over the substance of the endings.

By the way, Casey Hudson uses a lot of hair product.  Just sayin'.
