I had no idea that Kotor is worth $100 on amazon. Kotor 2 is worth more than $100 dollars there too!
I also saw Republic Commando for over $100 on amazon too.

How did these games get so valuable?!

Those are Xbox versions, which are very rare these days (note it can be played on X360 IF you have the disc).

If you are in north america, it shouldn't be expensive - if you are in Australia or another place where video games are cruelly inflated, I feel sorry for you.

Here is an amazon link to the new bundle http://www.amazon.co...k/dp/B00784HHUM $20 for both as you will see. This is the PC version after all... If you were looking for the xbox version of either, you should find them each for about $20 as well. But I highly suggest getting the PC version - I was originally looking for the xbox version but got the PC version after I realized I could mod it and it came with Yavin.

As for why old games are expensive? I dunno. I assume it's because they actually don't make some games anymore so they have limited stocks. I tried to get Simpons Hit and Run for my little sister (her favourite game of all time), alas, I couldn't get a copy for below $80... sadface.

I have both versions. Getting a brand new xbox copy is really difficult and I tried once- the bidding exceeding a hundred dollars and was at 4 am so before I could even focus to raise my bid it was over. But I got lucky and found a mint condition copy online.

It's getting insane and your best bet is really to buy a mint condition game- you really just need a PAL or NTSC copy in great condition and an original XBOX. I say the latter because you need a console that isn't brutal on discs- my 360 has the games I've bought installed to the harddrive. (Lucky for me I only play a few) But don't get conned into paying a huge sum for a like new or second hand copy because similar copies are reasonable priced and that higher pricetag is only worth it for brand new.

The PC copies have numerous glitches (I hear playing on 360 with backwards compatible isn't cruise city either) but it comes with an unattainable DLC now and you can mod them, especially the second game which you can restore with awesome mods like TSLRCM.

SW: KotOR has some potentially very annoying(though sometimes fixable) glitches, but SW: KotOR 2 is relatively bug free with the latest RCM. The modders have done a fantastic job fixing up the sequel as best they can.
