I specialize in "wall noise" -genre.

I'm a bassist and vocalist; trained bassist from high school where I performed in jazz/concert bands and took private bass lessons throughout all four years of college. Started singing in my primary school choir as a boy soprano from ages 6 - 12, then took private voice lessons much, much later during my junior year in college (my range is something like a baritone-tenor). I love mostly rock, classic rock, alternative, classic R&B and jazz. I also have a deep yearning to get into composing but I have no idea where/how to start (any advice wpuld be greatly appreciated!). A pipe dream of mine is to get a band of other like-minded musicians and cover Faunts' "M4 part 2" (also known as the ending theme to the first Mass Effect).

Okay, here is a pic of my poor mans setup. The keyboard stand and bench are recent additions so I don't have to play while sitting on the floor anymore!

And here are the tracks I did :
soundcloud.com/n7-nico/uncharted-worlds
soundcloud.com/n7-nico/escape-from-earth
soundcloud.com/n7-nico/virmire
Other tracks and or demos will follow, as I have some covers and remixes on the way that are related to the mass effect universe.
Feel free to leave any comment or feedback.

Im former Musican (but who possibly can be "former" musican?
Kollege of arts - chorus diriger. Also played bass for 5 years.
Right now - sound enginer. Recording, mixing, live reinforcment comes first, than playing music...
Beber69, "uncharted worlds" are nice, you keped original "80" electronic style ME-like.
"Virmire" sounds too techno-like... for my taste.
Noticed sounds from FM8...
Nce "Guns" you have..
Great work, however !

This is me playing drums on a demo in 2006 on a track I co-wrote, lyrics and music as well. I also sing the background vocals and its my wife's voice you can hear in the beginning. You could say I am all over it...
Don't be alarmed: its in Hungarian.
p.s. Rights are of course reserved.

Thx for the feedback, sorry that you don't like the techno-like track.
Will try harder next time
Yep I used fm8 on this one because in a track that goes industrial, FM synthesis feels quite natural to it.
Here is the last track I did :

Beber69, great sound image! Especialy piano though. Tembre is better than the actual ost track. A litle "mechanical" but, nice however. Wider stereo image - realy like it. More... clarity.

Lots of talented people in here!
I am a very lapsed musician myself, unfortunately. Due to band splits and those old interferences known as 'life'.
I play bass but also dabble in a bit of guitar and drums. Started when I was a teenager, inspired by the old punk/ska 90s movement...which took a little while to reach the UK.
I'm self-taught so my actual musical knowledge is pretty amateur, just an assortment of bits picked up here and there. I've learned scales and such but I generally figure out a lot by ear, enough to improvise quite a bit live (and punk/ska stuff is easy to get your head round)
Anyway, as for my own stuff. I have a few bits and pieces. There was my first band 'Sucks To Be You', which still tries to play occasionally, when schedules permit. We recorded a basic demo years ago, but none of the tracks are entirely 'complete' in terms of mixing. I'm still quite pleased with them, though. Sort of pop-punky/ska/reggae.
Awesome
Loved And Lost (written entirely by me, and sung badly by me)
Girl Of My Dreams
Then I was in another band for a couple of years called Muck Fe (yes, a spoonerism), after they ditched their old bassist. That was fun because we played a lot of gigs and had a bit of a local following. All the other guys were really talented, too, so it really upped my game as well. I never actually appeared on any of their recordings but there are some live performances recorded, of which I'm proud.
These Drugs (apologies for the sound quality and weird edit round some video error) Contains little improvised licks here and there, trying to steal limelight from the sax at the end. With lots of 'bassface'.
Better Than Me (that intro was not planned, but I played along...)
More recently, I was 'helping' a band called Monster Movie who are actually two guys who tend to program the bass and drums. They figured they'd try something different and recruited myself and the guitarist from the first band I mentioned...to play drums. We had a few tracks to go, but one of the guys (who used to be in Slowdive) is very fussy and had doubts about a lot of his tracks. Plus recording costs and life got in the way, so no progress has been made for a while...
What I can share though, is a cover we did on a six-track, which actually came out really well. The song is Stars Fall by Ceremony. I tried to capture the throughline of the original bass, but mix it with a style more appropriate to this band.
Anyway, I think I've written enough for now.

Not sure if this is the right section but I think its close enough
Ever since playing Mass Effect 3 Citadel I have had the tune Liara plays on the piano stuck in my head (I know its based on Vigil
)
I was just wondering if anybody could draw up some sheet music for it as I would love to learn to play it on the piano...if anybody wants to try or knows someone who could do it.
I don't come on here often so if anybody manages to do it or has some questions email me at alig0100@hotmail.com. Thanks
In case you forgot what the tune was
Many thanks
