It will. For sure. Regardless of what people say on these forums, everywhere else you go on the internet the the hater/supporter ratio is the complete opposite of what it is here:

A lot of people that like the game, and few people bashing it (the BSN is the only place the haters are the majority, they flock here to voice their distaste)

Not to mention, what else has come out this year? Seriously, regardless if you like ME3's ending or not, there hasn't been a single game made this year with the overall quality ME3 has in every category that game critics base their reviews on.


Unless Halo 4 is amazing, or unless GTA V comes out this year, I foresee ME3 getting a lot of critics GOTY awards

(Good thing they decided to push it back and release it in 2012 and not 2011, because Skyrim was and still is a beast of a game)

There isn't much competition. ACIII will possibly be a force. The Walking Dead will probably go underlooked, but it gives off a much bigger impression of choices mattering than anything out there currently.

It depends when they make their judgment. There is some big name stuff coming out this year, another CoD, another MoH, Dishonored, AC3, Far Cry 3, Hitman - probably another Resident Evil - you've also got Borderlands 2, Prey 2 and a new take on Xcom.

Critics usually wet themselves over both CoD and anything published by Bethesda.

If X-COM can live up to it's predecessor, GOTY for me.

I am going walking dead as a dark horse. That's how you make someone care about a childs life. Even if they can't release it every month.

ME3 with RGBgate, has no chance. Will get nominated to make up numbers because not as many blockbusters as last year.

But in the case of "shooters" I'm thinking its going to be a long time until another FPS gets a GOTY award....I'm talking "years". That genre is in a holding pattern, no innovation ans everybody knows it.

Unless they completely overall their engine, update the graphics that have been being used since 2007(imagine of ME3 had the same graphics as the original, BSN would be in a ****storm. Yet CoD fans blindly buy the same exact game every single year.) They'll never when a GOTY again. The upcoming Halo trilogy is the FPS genre's next best hope for a GOTY in the coming years

never liked COD,

 but it wouldn't surprise me if it won. I personally think that if Halo 4 is pretty good, it will beat out ME3 by a mile. As long as they don't screw up the ending.
