Do you think ME3 will win a lot of GOTY awards? (poll)

Realistically Mass Effect 3 is not Game of the Year material at all. The enormous fan backlash and BioWare's even poorer response. It's a that will be tainted for a long time and hopefully used as an object lesson for budding game designer and pushy publishers. "How to kill a successful emotionally charged franchise 101 by EA and BioWare."
With GTA5, Halo 4, Darksiders 2, Minecraft (Xbox Live version), and even Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition. How sad would it be if a remake of an old BioWare game outdid current BioWare offerings.
Personally given the runaway and record breaking success that Minecraft XBLA is, it should likely see at least one GotY. I also hope Darksiders 2 does. The Darksiders franchise isn't getting the love it should for a studio that seems to know what they're doing with adventure games.

Stop going on about PT jade! lol
And if it does win, then I will never trust GOTY choices again

Do they take into consideration if it's just the game on the disc? Or dlc's included?
Wondering whether it would be judged with the EC or not.
How was I going on about PT?

If Mass Effect 3 gets Game of the Year I'm going to avoid all social activity, get rid of my computer, xbox, and all other technology and go live in the woods in the back of my house, hunting squirrels and deer.

they won't even get nominated

Would Mass Effect 3 get judged for GOTY based on the actual game's content, or dlc's included?
I don't know how they judge games these days, but Skyrim won it last year, although everything that made that game awesome was already on the disk.

I think it would be the game itself as it was on release.

Well if that's the case, we all know it doesn't have a chance.
Remember the, "75 perfect scores" for it in that condition.
Media and critic awards don't always have much to do with reality.

Unfortunately Skyrim can't be in the running. It was released in 2011. However, Dishonored could be if it bust out of nowhere and takes the internetz by storm. I feel it's not getting a lot coverage in a simlar way Darksiders 2 is kinda sliding under the radar.
Regardless ME3 has quite the number of titles that stand between it and any meaningful GotY award... unless BioWare pulls a rabbit out of their hat and totally 100% brilliantly fixes their ending... fat chance. I think Just Dance 4 would be more likely of winning GotY then BioWare actually going back making an ending that isn't crap. Really, it's the last 10 miniutes of play that's standing between ME3 and a GotY. 10 miniutes of the worst ending to grace gaming in the last decade at least.

Honestly, I thinkk AC3 will get it. Apparently it's the last one and I know for a fact Ubisoft have poured the most money into it than any other game, ever.
It really looks to be innovative in both a gameplay aspect and storywise too.
I honestly think it will take it out.
If not, Halo 4 probably
Resident Evil 6 also looks promising.

That's it though, it doesn't matter how many perfect scores it got. If it had to release an extended cut to explain the game's endings. Then they failed, that shows a tremendous flaw in their product, which there was/is.

I loved ME3, and more importantly, critics loved ME3. Oh, and nothing else is coming out that has much chance of topping it. That always helps.
Did you even read the thread?
There are a lot of things that will make ME3 stand out above the rest, clearly. But overall, I do think the ending takes a significant amount of points off the final score.
Whether that score will still be able to hold up to titles like AC3 or Halo4, who knows.
Plus, these two titles aren't being released until the end of the year. That also gives them a slightly better chance because there will be more hype surrounding them.
