Do you think ME3 will win a lot of GOTY awards? (poll)

Yea... Let's just give the *kids* the ability to have sex with people, oh and then the choice to either genocide a species, become a tyrant, or violate everyone's rights throughout the entire galaxy.

So, yes, of course.
I always loved your avatar.
Especially when you say things like that.
It's great though, because even when I do disagree with you about something, I just can't even take you seriously.
So either way, I'm laughing.

It really is almost always the best possible expression for my words. As long as my intent is some form of anger, sarcasm, or "Are you ****ing serious right now, what the **** is this ****, I don't even...", and it usually is, then good ol' versatile Goat Olive the Mighty Invulnerable of the Grey Wardens has it covered.

So just like high school, the superficial pretty bimbo with the IQ of a rock who passes by performing felatio on smarter students and some teachers, will win.
Regardless of the fact that the kids who won't grow up to be sad failures know its a crock of ****.

Depends on who's giving the awards. EA has a big Christmas card list.
QFT. There's a lot of awards that can be bought. Video Games lack the supervisory element that films and television have. SAG awards, Emmys, and Oscars aren't some random magazine's or TV network's choice of who is best. Despite their faults, these awards systems extend beyond a single company, and thus have some measure of credibility.
If gaming as an industry formed an awards body, but aired the awards on Spike, I would be fine with it. But when the best a game can aspire to is official recognition from that one TV network, GotY mean nothing. Magazines don't provide any better of a criteria for what is the best game of a given year when it is such an individual thing.
ME3 will probably get a few GotY nods from the most purchasable publications, but overall acceptance will be non-existant. It's just not that good of a game.

darkhorse: Borderlands 2
even darker horse: ME3 (and I really only say this because of the black eye the ending gave the game - other than the ending I really do love this game)

Not to mention, the awards are run by SpikeTV. I mean come on.

I know Diablo 3 made a huge hit in Blizzard's rep, but they still have an expansion coming out for their juggernaut soon. And for some reason I remember WoTLK doing pretty well in the award section. Wouldn't surprise me completely if they turned it out.

Granted, you can say it's just my opinion, but I seriously don't know how you could look at the game (I mean the entire thing, not just the endings) and think that it was anything more than an average third-person shooter with minor RPG elements. It's defintely not anywhere close to GOTY-worthy, especially with the other games that will be in competition this year.shepdog77 wrote...

Exactly......The game was crap way before the ending masked what was a mediocre game at best.
But then some let there blind faith accept mediocre,.......... auto-dialogue,1 hub, couldnt import, ending needing EC, no end boss, Glitches, choices not mattering...etc etc...and yet the 75 critic reviewers who gave it a perfect 10 seemed to look past all that.
1 playthrough speaks volumes of how crap it is, it's an ordeal thinking of those fetch quests let alone doing them,
ME3 deserves biggest letdown of the year.
