That or I just don't see eye to eye with what some of those who played D&D type games see as RPG. Or I find fixed roles to be A-okay.

RPG-Role Playing Game
A game in which one creates a fictional character that interacts with other fictional characters. No stat development, branching plot, etc.. is implied.
A well known RPG is Match.com.

Now that you say it..
It all makes sense now! No wonder DA2 was Relationship Simulator 2011! They were trying to copy the best in the business!

Now the far ranging LI's in ME makes total sense. Even Blue squid head people should have love. Same with Tali or Garrus. But sure yeah that could die from being with us. But love is Teh Best Thing Eva! So they'll die a horrible bio-chemical death peacefully and happy. RPG's are about the hook up yo.
It would not surprise me in the least to see something similar to GTA4's Dating service to make its way somehow into the Mass Effect Franchise. Excuse me a moment, I need to grab a hot cup of coffee.Bioware: "We want Match.com's fanbase!!"

I dunno if that will fit into Relationship Simulator 2014 (DA3), they typically ignore the marriage/kid factor.

And this right here is part of why short of mocking I don't join in any "debates" or see half of the Opinions and those who express them worth more than a bug I step on with my shoe. F'ng stupidity.Gibb_Shepard wrote...
I don't consider Final Fantasy to be an RPG in the least; nor any other JRPGs for that matter. No roleplaying, no genre label.Ghost Lightning wrote...

Sigh, branching paths have nothing to do with role play. Branching story is born from adventure games not RPGs

Oh well, at least there's Skyrim.

I for one look forward to giving my adopted kids weapons to fight off giants while I stand around and watch.
