Gold Coast > Florida, jus sayin. Queensland is the real sunshine state.

If by sunshine you mean living with thousands of dangerous creatures, then yes. Sunshine. :D

Its funny because it really isn't all that bad.

Wow, you guys all hated IGN when they praised ME3 and yet when they agree with you, you like them...

No
ones saying anything about liking them, just pointing out their sudden
shift from supporting BioWare no matter what to being critical in the
same vein as the rest of the BSN is about the whole game.

That review is fake, don't believe me?
Scroll down to their score, it isn't a 9.5 like it is with practically every other game they review.

keep in mind the backlash went beyond bioware and ea, it also spread to the "journalism" that's supposed to protect consumers from such business practices

which makes the conspiracy theory that gaming networks are bought out more credible

This annoys me.

The game media world pointed at ME fans and snickered. Your whining they said. ME3 is perfect. Now they are backpedaling using some of our same bullet points, criticizing BW.

Let's be clear, Leviathan is nothing to write home about. But this is surely an indicator that EA is no longer throwing money behind the ME series, there would have been the usual 9.5s from IGN if they were. There won't be much more DLC to come.

It's nice to know that one can simply buy IGN's opinion. That really bodes well for the little credibility they have left.

EA stopped paying them and then IGN stopped blindly backing them up.

Nah, they're just pissed Jessica Chobot didn't get a call back for this DLC nor for future ones either.

In there defense, the one we all hate is a man named Colin Moriarty or as I call him, Pity Party Moriarty. He's the one who made the backlash swing into full gear.

He didn't write this review, but he wrote the original.

I was listening to a podcast and someone mentioned that they were dissapointed with the ending and Colin immediately jumped on the guy saying that the original ending was fine as it was...He thinks he is oppinion is a fact.
Poor guy talks so much crap.  Is like he has a condition or something.  Douchbaginities.

He then went on to say how Catherine and Vanquish are amazing games and if you didn't like them is because you didn't play them, and Vanquish's gameplay was miles above metal gear solid 4.  Ignoring the fact that he is comparing an over the top mech game to a stealth action espionage game.  :wizard:

Yall are idiots, IGN does whats popular for their viewers that's all there is to it. They see disappointment as a majority theme, thats how they act. Before release everyone was so hyped they tried to satisfy that hype, so did most of the other mainstream game sites. They don't give ****, its about appeasement not journalism of any kind. Stop giving a **** what they say.

fix'd slightly for accuracy.

I love both games and that comparison just plain retarded.

Lol, what you just said at the end. That's what I used to say about 7 months ago when I blindly followed everything Bioware did. It doesn't take a genius to figure out IGN was paid, just look at their review and how it matches little to nothing it matches to the actual game.

Mass Effect was a good game for the most part. If someone had never emotionally invested in the first two games and played it they'd probably think it was great.

You're right BatmanPWNS thats why they rated P4:Arena and Kingdom hearts so high... not because they'er good games but because IGN gets paid loads of money by Atlus and SE too!

Couldnt POSSIBLY be because a reviewer likes the game objectively right?

Now do I think IGN gets paid? Sure here and there, but i highly doubt its some back door conspiracy that some of you guys seem to think.

IGN changes their opinion, in a desperate attempt at getting more visitors to their boring website. What a surprise.

I love this thread.

3 pages of it are a low budget gangster movie, and that is ****ing awesome.
