Not a surprise. The point of the thread was pretty much to say exactly what you did.element eater wrote...
why is that statement a surprise to anyone?
although if the dlc sales do go badly they have no one to blame but themselves theres a few dlcs that would obviously do well if they made them.
Patrick Weekes: Future DLC plans of any kind depend on success of Leviathan. If we see that people want SP DLC, can always make more :)

Yes, about 5 fleets would have to be modeled for cutscenes above Earth. But every single ground force except Elcor tanks is done. Vorcha, Blue Suns, ME2 squadmates, Geth, Geth Primes, Alliance, Ex-Cerberus etc etc. Combining assets from ME1, ME2, ME3 and multiplayer gives them full range of models to pick from. Only Elcor tanks are missing (hanar and volus don't send ground forces, they send fleets and transport drells)AlanC9 wrote...

There have been a lot of feelings tied up in this and they still are.
I do wonder if the engine could manage the space scenes why don't they jsut drop a few more into Priority Earth for the EMS values, it might help
Bio made it pretty clear that they weren't going to put major ending changes into Leviathan, though.
As for more War Assets in the endgame, space assets would be a bit problematic. A lot of those ships don't even have models, so they'd have to be introduced in the fleet check-in scene, which is getting kinda long already. And of course the ROI is pretty terrible, since you're whipping up new models for the check-in and a minuteof fighting. Ground forces are a bit easier, since they have some of the models already.

Shepdog77 and the rest of the BSN that feel this way, it's really simple, Put your money were your mouth is.
You can't blame people that don't like the game for not buying DLC, it's their money and they have the right to choose how to spend it. The reason why they've moved on doesn't matter, money, ending, or other game flaws it doesn't matter
You can blame those that are happy with the game and then choose not to buy the DLC. They are the ones that hold the balance in the future of ME DLC.
There's a big difference in between the groups.
Leviathan is the acid test. It will clearly and without anymore BSN arguments show if the EC was enough of a bandaid to the damage to the base. If ME ends early then it will be a shame but there are plenty off factors that willl lead to that choice. I have no doubt that some people are going to take the easy route of just blaming the Anti's but there's more to it than that.
If the Pro's feel so strongly about this then support the game.

So I should buy something I DON'T want, because YOU want to buy more of something you want?
You pro enders have been going on and on and on and on and on about how those who hate the ending are now firmly in the minority since the EC. Well now's your chance to prove it.
Buy their DLC let the sales skyrocket to beat ME2's purchases so they keep making new things for you.
But don't be surprised when the dissatisfied "vocal minority" doesn't roll on this crap with you. I'm sure that won't be much of a problem considering how "good" everyone else finds Mass Effect to be.

I kinda want to now that I know Leviathan actually explains stuff and gives a lot more context, but I think I will wait for abnother DLC to be released.

Why not just purchase a hundred or so copies yourself?
Imply: Bioware isn't killing Mass Effect. it's 'fans' are. That's what I"m implying.
"oh we want you to fix this game! So we will kill your sales so you can fix this game instead of ending it because you aren't making money!" Is as logical as 'we made robots to stop you from making robots that'll kill you by killing you'
Of course I posted just from the basis of this corner of the internet. Not every mass Effect fan posts on BSN and not everyone on BSN hates Mass Effect 3 with a scary psychological issues vengence. Some of us like the game, want more, and yes, will blame you if we don't get more.

No, click the link in my sig (the tolkien quote), Leviathan adds more and more to a literal interpretation that makes sense.
IT is good too tho.

EA's in bad shape atm too. Lost the madden lawsuit, and now their trying to sue zynga. EA's stock has also dropped 38% since last year, if that keeps up they'll have to start selling off dev's or hope to be bought out. So basically at this point, EA's only going to shell out money for sure things.
Edit: Interesting article i just looked up www.businessweek.com/news/2012-08-30/electronic-arts-obtains-500-million-credit-line-from-four-banks EA getting 500 Million dollar loan. Luckily (For EA...) they've got Fifa 13 about a month or so out. But, probably will be a while before any more sp DLC.

That's pretty much a fact for all the Mass Effect DLC, honestly, throughout the series. The one with the strongest claim otherwise would be Javik, for adding a fully fleshed out character who interacts with the rest of the cast.Jamie9 wrote...
Indeed. It would add replayability, likely far beyond it's price tag. That's the best thing I liked about the EC; the endings were actually different and not just copy/paste, fill with different colour.
Coincidentally, that was the one thing Leviathan lacked: replayability. There were two interupt moments, and that's about the only real difference. I admit I like to replay missions with different squadmates to hear different dialogue, but I don't know if I would class that as substantial replayability.

@StElmo Hmm Not sure I agree that the Leviathans rely on the Reapers to remain the apex species. The Reapers are referred to as the enemy, that's not a term used for someone you rely on. The rest is right but I'm not sure how that changes anything, most of us assumed star brat's creator were morons to begin with, all Leviathan did was confirm our assumptions.
Either that or they are so big headed, they still feel their prophecy about organics vs synthetics is true.

unsatified fans: The game still isn't fixed!
bioware: We consider it fixed and won't be doing more in that regard, would you like some unrelated DLC
unsatified fans: No, that's not what we want, this won't make us happy so we won't buy.
You: This unsatified lot is destroying the franchise! Buy things to make me happy!
