Patrick Weekes: Future DLC plans of any kind depend on success of Leviathan. If we see that people want SP DLC, can always make more :)

Are sales actually low? Isn't it kinda too early to tell?MegaSovereign wrote...
I wonder if Weekes is posting this as a reaction to slow Leviathan DLC sales.
He's stating the obvious here, so the intent of this post could be to bump up awareness.

There is no way to know other than EA/Bioware releasing official sales numbers.

It's not like retail games where they have to wait for the sales data from retailers.
I'm pretty sure they can freely check how many downloads the DLC has. They could also compare Leviathan's sales to ME2 DLC week one sales to see where they stand.

Will there still be multiplayer DLC?
I hope there won't be any for a while. I'm happy with what we have right now in multiplayer. I just want more single player content.

If players show interest in more SP content then they will do it.

The interest is reflected through the sales of leviathan is what Patrick means.
Did I miss some other ME3 single player DLC for which to judge interest by?
Not seeing the malice. If there's no interest in that type of DLC there's no point in making more of it.

As for this misinterpreted quote, if the real meaning is straight forward face-slappin' detritus, then It's obvious that ME3 is washed-up.
On the other hand, if Bioware ARE planning some serious back-steppin' RETCON, they better get off the pot, and get with it!!

the thing about about the videogame industry (as opposed to the movie industry) very few statistics are released even months after the game and its hard to gauge how much mass effect 3 actually sold, also you almost never receive other factors such how much returned, or how much sold at what price, or how many used copies soldGreylycantrope wrote...

they only release what they want to release, for example swtor, they said that there subscribers were above five-hundred thousand but below one-million, I mean could eaware be more vague

Even funnier when you realize that "Deshi basara" translates more closely to "Coming soon."

+1, Bioware if it has looked at the sane posts here in BSN have a rough menu of DLC that SP players would love to see. But I'm on the fence as to whether this is blackmail or a oblique admission of the damage done to the fanbase.
Either way I'm not buying Leviathan just to see if maybe down the road something that does interests me comes out.

I'm glad some people are finally starting to get the point. I'm not debating the logic behind supply and demand. What I'm saying is if Leviathan sales are low there's one reason behind that, THE ENDING. To play through Leviathan, a dlc with such great potential, just to get to the end and hear a ridiculous story that somewhat supports the Catalyst is a let down. The worst part about it is that Bioware refused to show Leviathan doing anything once you got to London. This cannot continue if Bioware expects to make sales. Tons of fans have told them what they want to see and Bioware refuses to listen. If dlc is to stop being made I don't wanna see them saying "Dlc sales weren't high enough". Tell it like it is. You guys were too indoctrinated by your artistic integrity that you refused to give the fans what they wanted and they stopped giving you your money. Mass Effect 3 deserves better than this to be the way it goes down.
Mass Effect itself deserves so much more. The decisions being made so far depress me very much.
If all they care about is money, listen to the complaints here. We'll throw it at them if they give us what we want.
