I wonder if anyone will complain if a romance DLC that adds nothing to the plot is released. If Bioware listens to BSN, that might end up being the only kind of DLC they'll be releasing.

What is a romance DLC? Are we seriously talking about a paid DLC that just adds some flirting dialog and a sexy scene pay off. Romances are a cool extra among many things happening in the game, but people really want a DLC devoted to nothing but dating a squadmember or adding more flirting to already existing romances?

If this thread is any indication, then yes. People want that.

EDIT: Actually, this would be an interesting poll. Which DLC would you want: remove the Catalyst or more romance?

I suppose it would depend on the Romance, if it's a ME2 Romance then it might be another mission and some extra meetings per LI and some of what you've mentioned as well. Or if for the ME1's then a little padding out in a combined pack perhaps. As a stand alone ME3's handling was ok but if you have a single LI for the 3 it seemed a bit light in my view.

Romance DLC? If there is going to be any kind of future dlc, it should be stuff that matters.

I used to scoff at the idea of Romance DLC.  Then Skyrim did this....and I will probably buy it.  So yes, they should do Romance DLC.  It will outsell Leviathan 10:1

It's not about just "flirting dialogue with a sexy scene payoff." I'm sure there could be some LI-specific missions in there as well. It's about adding more scenes in the game for characters who certainly didn't get enough. Not everyone romances who BioWare pushes to the forefront (Liara, the dextro duo, Ashley and Kaidan). Some of us like Miranda, Jack, Thane, etc. and feel like we got the shaft from BioWare.

Well they'd likely say option C, they want to romance the catalyst.

I'd rather the Catalyst be completely eradicated from ME3 than have a Miranda DLC. I'll be honest.

The next question is about Omega if that is indeed the next DLC. How much interest is there for it (taking into account all other factors)? There are many bits weigh on this, Omega has been well flagged, if it doesn't come then it might be seen as another re-planning due to events or not as the case may be.

The problem I see is that Bioware has no more flex time in the DLC, can they take on board any fan reaction now? Will Omega go forward on whatever planned date they have? If there are two slow moving DLC's is that the end?

If Leviathan is slow moving and we don't have proof of this then Omega might be the break point for the DLC. Would Omega generate more interest and support?

Miranda? Jack? Thane? Ignoring Thane's treatment in ME3, it's pretty clear Bioware wrote themselves into a corner making all the ME2 squadmates killable. I'm pretty sure in their minds romance dlc of any kind would be a pointless venture for characters that had the potential to not even appear in ME3 and because they'd most likely not make much money off it.

that would be one indivdual.
theway it works is thecompany makes the dlc people buy it if it looks good and then decide if its good

Apparently, if it doesn't change the endings, get rid of the Catalyst/Crucible, and improve Priority:Earth, then it does not matter.

This leads me to believe that BioWare.EA wants to put the failure of the Mass Effect IP on the fans for not wanting to support DLC which betrays some of the fundamental themes from the original game. So unless we shell out money for a DLC we don't want, which doesn't change anything about the ending (which is the major issue for most of us who are dissatisfied), we are the ones killing the franchise.

If true, then wow. Screw you BioWare. You know what we wanted from DLC, and that we would gladly pay for what we wanted. Instead, you thumbed your noses at us. You claimed the game was art months, if not years, after the window to reasonably call the game "art" had closed, and now you want to pin it all on the players who supported you by pre-ordering ME2 and 3. If Weekes is a mouth piece, I feel bad for him. If he actually believes the party line, then there is no one at BioWare who can be trusted to actually care about what the players actually want. But in either case, I'm ready to wash my hands of the publisher as a whole.

Can anyone remember how long it took to release the ME2 data?

They made a big deal out of the MP figures a few months back from memory but haven't said anything about SP (for obivous reasons).

Those figures would put this to bed one way or the other.

Not delusional at all. The sample sizes featured in BSN polls are insignificant compared to the actual number of consumers that buy BioWare products. It really is only representative of the "hardcore" fans.
