I just wish Bioware would give me a Kakliosaur mount and some planets to roam.

That would be hilariously epic. Maybe in the next DLC: Shepard's Safari

lol.  would be great!

So....one day we could see Shepard mounted on an Elcor charging into combat on Dekuuna with a horde of other Elcor with mounted cannons shooting out biotic volus?

This... This would absolutely rule.

Skyrim is a buggy overrated game anyway.

Fallout 3: Medieval Pack. The game is dull as ****. Lacks emotion and a good story. Fallout 3 had a much better atmosphere and the main quest was actually decent.

Anyway, you can compare my argument to ME1 and ME3 (In a different way.)

To Bioware's credit though, at least they can get their games working on PS3.

Also horse armor, for those horses you bring into battle.

Not sure when either of these existed in BGS' games, save the latter for Morrowind and Daggerfall. And wah-wah. I could complain about Mass Effect for the opposite reason, it's too linear and doesn't offer conventional roleplaying.

Comparing ME and Fallout/Skyrim isn't really fair.

An open world game is going to have a lot more bugs, they allow you to do quests at anytime, sometimes even visit quest locations before you have triggered the quest. Open world games allow you to roam at will and do things in any order.

I'm fine with that, I don't want my Elder Scrolls turned into cutscenes every 15 steps and no way to explore.

ME3 shouldn't have any bugs, it is such a hold your hand straight forward adventure, you can't do anything unexpected, it is mostly a bunch of cinematics and a button you push to teleport to combat areas, in the exact same order that ever player will do it.

Bioware plays it safe with simple led by your nose stories and other games give you freedom at the cost of more bugs. I'm fine with both, but don't act like ME3 is superior, its has less bugs, because it is less of a game and more of an interactive movie with shooty bits.

It's amusing when people disparage Skyrim. It blew ME3 away in sales while launching during the competitive holiday season.

Quantity isnt the same as Quality.

I dont think there will ever be a game made by Bioware that will ever outsell a Bethesda game. Sucks...

and i would be ticked off if BW ever tried to make a game to appease the Bethesda Audience.

this argument is sooo similar to the CoD versus Battlefield schtick.....

Not sure how this is true when Bethesda makes some of the most immersive RPGs out there.

How is that even comparable? CoD has grown into a franchise of cinematic heavy single player campains that are 8 hours long. They are kept alive by teenagers who shoot each other on Xbox, and must have each new game to get their new acheivement and keep up with the other xxxSuckmyXXXXX buddies they have online.

Bethesda games have stayed true to the open world concepts that their fans like. Comparing the two isn't really genuine, unless you just want to lump them both together simply because they are popular, not because of their very different game design changes over the years.

huh? you mean CoD hasnt stayed true to the SAME THING since CoD4? I MEAN THE SAME EXACT THING!! save for a new paint scheme and some cosmetic tweeks.

SAME GAME year after year!!

and Bethesda and CoD are gonna sell well, regardless....doesnt mean they the pinnacle of game creation. they are EXTREMELY POPULAR.   but popularity doesnt mean best..cept best selling...and quantity =/= quality

I fail to see your point. You don't need a good story and characters to make a good RPG. Bioware aren't the holy grail of RPGs either, never said Elder Scrolls/Fallout were.

Cod uses an engine from the 90s.

Anyway, they've both grown to hit the casual market.

Best phone game ever, they even made an AAAA+ version of it with shinier graphics called Infinity Blade.

I regard Skyrim as a lot better than what Bioware has put out recently like DA2, ME3, TOR. The market agrees as well.

Skyrim is still at or near full price while DA2 was in the bargain bin fast, ME3 saw equally drastic price cuts, TOR is a flop.
