Mass Effect has also been very streamlined.

thats irelevant to the conversatiosn being had. no one said me3 wasn't stream lined [thogh its has hasd a ton more complexty put in compared to me2] or that it didn't try to lure in the casuals

So what is relevant? They both tried to expand their audiences and one had more success.

skyrims success dose not make it imune form critisicim, just like biowares dosen't

the op had the nerve to imply that bethsada was better in regards to fans and unpgrading their **** and this is a lie or pure ignorance as any ps3 fan will tell u

Bethsada's **** stinks just like every one elses, and i expect their mmo to tank.

OP has a point. To add on here are just some things i love about skyrim.
-The dialogue trees are so amazing.
-npc voice acting is out of this world.
-They have memorable characters.
-It has got one of the best rpg main plotlines in the whole wide world.
- The people in the world acknowledge what you have accomplished even if you did complete the game.
It makes me very happy

That's not fair. The same can be said and applied to any other game, it's not the same genre. This is just Bioware elitism/bigotry. It's like me saying Metallica sucks because: lack of keyboard, lyrics don't rhyme often, guitar and bass too aggressive, etc.

My sarcasm was misdirected then. The premise of the argument was trying to state at what i do not like about the game and why i cannot get into these types of games. It was not meant to be slander :alien:

I have to say this whole conversation is a weird one... Comparing Skyrim to a game like ME3 is like comparing a car to a building... You clearly are expecting different things from each of them.

its not fair to critiize a game for things the devlopers didnt bother to put effort into?

and personaly after fo3 bethsada has no excuse. cause they can do it when they try.

What a game sold is totally irreverent to how good it is.

Skyrim has a number of issues ranging from gameplay, story and characters,to performance. As great as it is and it is great, I think Skyrim is one of the most over hyped games ever.. Not to say Mass 3 isn't without it's flaws.

Ultimately what this it comes down to is what you want from you game; Bethesda games are all about exploration and immersing yourself into that world. BioWare games are all about telling you a story and immersing you in that story through it's characters. Both Mass Effect and The Elder Scrolls do what they set out to do batter than almost any other game series, I personally prefer BioWares way of doing things.

i agree with every point, at no point did i ever say Skyrim was straight up bad, but the assertion that bethsada is perfect with the **** theyve pulled esppcaily incomparison to bioware is wrong and needed to be called out on.

The fundamental differences between the games, would probably also aplly to how developers each handle their games. So even still, the comparisons could only really be character based, and unless someone here has an uncle who works for nintendo. >.>

I'd say charity is a good thing, no matter the motivation.

Also, your last two points are invalid. There were polls taken a while back which indicated people would rather pay for proper content. Alas, we got free sprinkles on the turd.
