I believe this song is the game's new theme (in the way "My Hands" and "New World" were in the previous games).
It's called IMERUAT which apparently means "lightning". Masashi Hamauzu (Composer for XIII and XIII-2) did the music and Imeruat is on vocals.

It's one of those songs that just sums up the whole series imho. I can here hints of the music from Acedemia in XIII-2, Dust to Dust, Sunleth Waterscape, and of course FNC. It seems like the perfect fit for the game's theme or as you said a BGM at the very least.

Geezus Lumina looks a lot like Serah. So... could Lumina possible be a different version of Serah, like in a different dimension affected by various trials which led her to that point? Probably not but an interesting thought. Also, new outfit for Lighting!

She does look a bit like Serah, but there aren't really different dimensions in the Fabula Nova universe, I don't think.

Exactly what I was thinking. But that might not be possible because they closed off all the gates and resolved all the paradoxes in XIII-2. We'll see I guess.

It could very well be partly something to do with that at least. Either way, she's definitely got connections to Serah.
