Yep was just about to post this article about the same thing. Was kind of hoping it was a troll article, but I guess not.
I don't have a problem with bigger breasts or the fact that they're using them game and don't believe that all 'strong' female characters have to be stereotypically flat-chested (or ditsy character big breasted for that matter) but it feels weird to change Light's appearence in this way specifically. I mean, it won't be a huge difference but IMO she's already perfect, why fix what isn't broken?
This gif for example, makes me sad. What even? Since when was Lightning all 'god I'm sexy, look at me!".
She never tried to be, she just was. :|

Nice bit of new info. If you have save data from the previous games you can use Lightning's Guardian Corp. and Valkerie outfits from XIII and XIII-2 (YUS! The Corp. uniform is my favorite!!!).
Also, there is a 4th continent that will offer an open world "akin to Skyrim" where you can ride chocobos.
Finally, Vanille has also been confirmed to return in the game.

I really want to get into Final Fantasy 13 but the combat just confuses me and many other features just boggles my mind. No matter how hard I try to like the game ( I really like the setting and some characters), but the game play puts me off instantly.
I'm playing on the easiest difficulty and I can not kill a giant tomato and I really can not take the game seriously when Noel looks at miniature tomatoes and claims that's how the world will look like when it ends.
And the stereotypical behavior of an anime girl like Lightning's sisters constant gasps and the little girlish laughs. Vanille was bad enough but this girl is becoming a monster.

Don't make fun of Serah, she's had a hard life.
But yeah, from my own experience you'll definitely grow more attatched to Serah and Noel as the game progresses,
A question though, have you played the first game? The one with Noel and Serah is XIII-2 (I don't mean to insult your intelligence, but it seems like you are playing this for the first time).
The first game actually spends a pretty decent amount of time familiarizing you with teh combat system, and the added features n XIII-2 are basically the things people griped about in the first game (except the monster hunting thing, that was totally new).

I couldn't even finish FF13-2, but this one seems better. At least Lightning returns as the main character, though she doesn't looks like a soldier now...

I haven't been keeping up to speed much with the FFs but these last two (XV and XIII-3) seem excessively focused on the main guy/gal. Not like the party based FFs I used to play. XV looks like practically an adventure game combat-wise.

I actually don't feel XV will be like that at all. Most trailers go out of their way to point out the interactions between Noctis and his crew. There are even special combat events that involve one of Noct's companions helping him out. It's still a party, though it only gives you control of a single character at a time. And yeah, there are no turns anymore, it's full twitch. I don't mind though because it looks awesome, and it's the game's premise. Though I will point out too that there is still damage values and hitpoints, and levelling--it's isn't simply adventure. I'm not worried about XV.
It's the whole "make Lightning sexier and sexier" thing that I find disturbing.

Heh. I do mind making FF twitch, funny enough. Oh well, I probably won't have a chance to play it anyway.
I have no opinion about the sexification at the moment, I think I would wait for the whole product (again, if I actually had a Playstation to play it on) before deciding if she's too fanservicy overall... but my tolerance is pretty high. I watch anime.

I too have no qualms with the way XV is shaping up. It actually looks pretty fantastic imho. I love the premise of the story too. Very melodramatic. Love that.
But this whole thing with XIII-3...idk. There was no reason for it. What I'm hoping is that we're only noticing it so much because of how big of a divergence it is from what we know. Like if you live in a stark white house and one day you wake up and see a big streak of green running through your living room. It seems insane and you can't stop thinking about it, but in reality if you were to look at the entire house, the green mark would only occupy a very minuscule portion of it.
But I swear to god if I see beach wear jiggle physics bombarding me through out the game as the story forces you into unrealistically provocative situations designed solely to show off the new "elements" of the game, I will cry.

FF games have never had a consistent battle system. It changes with every iteration.
And as for whether you can play it or not--maybe you can if you have a decent PC. I really, REALLY hope Square grows up and realizes there's no reason to exclude PC.

No, but all the ones through X-2 were consistently "slow" in the sense of either being turn based, or turn based with a timer ("active time battle" or whatever they called it). Fundamentally different than free action twitch combat.EntropicAngel wrote...

I can't kill this massive ripe monster, it keeps healing itself, does insane damage, I don't know what paradigms to us or which is which etc.
Do I need to grind by killing the monsters that appear out of nowhere? I'm a noon, I don't know what I am doing, I'm barely doing damage to it. I'm where you find Snow for the first time.

You're supposed to leave there and explore the area outside of that. You'll find a couple of artefacts, and you'll use them to go to both the Coliseum and then to...the Archylte Steppe or something like that. But the point is, you can't beat it yet.
