Is there a demo for PS3?

Yeah, today in North America, tomorrow in Europe.

There's some sort of social network nonsense going on in the game itself. You can get messages from other players via npc's.

I think the combat will take a fair bit of getting used to, it's real time but there's still a lot of gauges, timers and bars you have to pay attention to. I haven't fully grasped it yet, it's fun but awkward.

Well anything is an improvement on 13 and 13-2's awful combat system.

I find her Cloud outfit more fitting

They need to get around to that redo of FF-7 they have been teasing people with since the original was released.

And Kingdom Hearts...Eh i played the first one when it first came out, Sort of kept up with the Games and i played 2...Its just well i really slowed down on the series considering its just been handheld games now for what? Six years?

Bravely Default just shows me that Silicon studios should be the one to head the main FF games. I had more fun in a fricken demo then any recent FF game and from what I hear the main game is better and I just can't wait to get my copy.

Think I'll do the opposite -- Don't really see no point in buying a console that doesn't have any games that are that interesting, except for re-releases of basically the same game. Nintendo can only go so far with that strategy -- As for Lightning Returns; To me it looks a lot better than the second one, which I find is enough to at least give it a shot plus I actually enjoyed the first one despite the rather streamlined gameplay. Never really found the other games interesting at all.

While I find the shift to handheld games rather odd, all the games minus 2 really adds to the overall story

They shifted to handheld for simple reasons - Because it sells in Japan. They started to do it after Kingdom Hearts 1 with Kingdom Hearts Chains of Memories on the Gamboy Advance. What is really ridiculous is how they keep making Kingdom Hearts games, with even more confusing plot exposition, and spread them around on different consoles instead of just making spin-offs with no ties to the main one (and keep that on the consoles)... That's the real frustrating part.
