Changing ending by DLC is a horrible idea.

People need to stop holding their wallets and start supporting this company if they ever want anything in regards to the endings changed.

There is absolutely NOTHING stopping them from cutting their losses and running, cancelling future dlc plans.

I don't know about you, but I REALLY don't want to see that happen!

In fact, I would rather support them on blind faith and optimism alone, hoping that they will listen and fix this with future dlc. But for that to happen, people need to get off their "youtube" horses and show BioWare how much you want a better ending for Shepard and for Mass Effect too.

Because at the end of the day, they hold all the cards.

In the same way we all banded together to "hold the line", we need to band together once again to show BioWare just how far we're willing to go. Sure, this blind faith might be a bit dellusional, but I know for a fact that 'holding the wallet', is not going to do anything but bad things.

Everyone has their own breakpoint, for some the damage has been done and Bioware may have used up it's banked fan support.

Added to the fact that they've now gone to the like it or leave it mode, so I don't see any chance for any future ending DLC.

It's not right or fair to put the blame on those that aren't happy with it, you should be arguing to the Pro's to buy and support the game rather than asking the Anti's to close their eyes and buy it anyway.

If ME ends with a whimper then it asks questions about the whole situation rather than just the fanbase.

Buy it if you want to buy it and don't buy it if you don't want to. I liked the DLC and I would recommend it. Still wish it was 5 bucks instead of 10

Right there with ya! ;)

I´ll get all ME3 DLC...I want the "complete" game anyway.
Only when I have the whole picture will I decide how to rate ME3 overall and what to think of BioWare in the future.

sorry, disagree. best thing for everyone for them is to cut their losses and this franchise and start over somewhere else. the reality is that if you continue to personalize what is otherwise a cold, economic transaction, you'll continue to get exploited. this is a position of weakness.

this whole drama is a very rare opportunity to actually discipline and train a corporation, instead of the other way around which is the norm these days. you should think bigger and use it to your advantage.

if you want better games, more service, respect and support, than you need to let these firms know that you have limits on how much abuse you will take and be able to stick to it. otherwise they have no financial incentive to stop behaving badly.

Just my two cents.

And so it'll be a very sucky way and I'll lose all hope in Bioware. Seriously, forcing people to buy DLC to get your happy ending?

Endings aside, there are still plenty of people working there that love the ME series and who have done great things for it over its lifetime. I'm not a fan of the ending, but I know they have some good people working there, and I do still want to support them.

Sorry, but I'm not going to spend money "hoping" Bioware changes the endings. It will send the wrong message, while NOT buying DLC tells them you're not interested in what they selling. I bought Leviathan because it looked interesting. It was alright, but definitely not worth it in my eyes. No impact on the story whatsoever. I'm not interested in Omega DLC, and probably the ones after either.

If they're too prideful and stick to their guns and let Mass Effect 3 go down the drain, then its not my problem. I still love the Mass Effect series, but I'm not going to continue doling out money for a product I dont want.

Patrick weeks just hinted on twitter that if they carry on making dlc, ME2 squadmate dlc might be made. That convinced me to...buy leviathan and firefight.

Sure there are but if they aren't producing something that attracts you, are you going to pay just for the fact that you like them?

To me that doesn't mean anything, putting something like that seems questionable, what happens if you who dont want Leviathan and Omega but buy them because he tweeted this and then in 9 months it never happens all you've done is spend money in a vain hope.

Well I won't know until I buy it really, precident, and reviews I guess, are all I have to go off of. I didn't hate 3, I liked many parts of it so it's not like I'm in the totally dissatisfied camp.

I havent give up on them which is why im still reading the forum

but im not going to support something that i found so fundametaly dissatisfying. Ive made apoint on numerous occaisions as to what id like to see and if they did something along those lines id glady pick up the various dlcs. Supporting something im unhappy with would just be stupid on my part

Sorry OP but that is the furthest thing from the truth. If they deliver a crap product, a crap game then you don't support a crappy company. The only way to force a real change in the way BW is practicing game developing is to not buy anything from them that includes DLC.

They have said they won't change the ending to what the majority of retake wanted so those of us who hate the EC will with hold the wallet until they do change it. By buying their DLC we say "We are okay with being screwed over" and they will continue to screw us over because that is the message those of you who buy their DLC are sending them.

People need to stop holding their breath. EAware is never going to change the ending.

I had my quibbles with the initial version of the ending, but EC alleviated some of these and the DLCs are adding interesting content. They're doing their best with the MP, it's not to my taste beyond doing the obligatory 10 rounds to max out the endgame multiplier, but a fair number of players seem to seriously enjoy it so they must be doing something right.

So no giving up here, just looking forward to future content and pretty curious as to where they'll go with future installments. My only real issues at all are with EA-Origin and it's DRM peculiarities, but that's another discussion entirely.
