People need to stop holding their wallets and start supporting this company if they ever want anything in regards to the endings changed.

There is absolutely NOTHING stopping them from cutting their losses and running, cancelling future dlc plans.

I don't know about you, but I REALLY don't want to see that happen!

In fact, I would rather support them on blind faith and optimism alone, hoping that they will listen and fix this with future dlc. But for that to happen, people need to get off their "youtube" horses and show BioWare how much you want a better ending for Shepard and for Mass Effect too.

Because at the end of the day, they hold all the cards.

In the same way we all banded together to "hold the line", we need to band together once again to show BioWare just how far we're willing to go. Sure, this blind faith might be a bit dellusional, but I know for a fact that 'holding the wallet', is not going to do anything but bad things.

No more money for them. Listen to yourself, you are indoctrinated by EA money grabbers!

Patrick weeks just hinted on twitter that if they carry on making dlc, ME2 squadmate dlc might be made. That convinced me to...buy leviathan and firefight.

To me that doesn't mean anything, putting something like that seems questionable, what happens if you who dont want Leviathan and Omega but buy them because he tweeted this and then in 9 months it never happens all you've done is spend money in a vain hope.

Well, I....kind of enjoyed it. Kind of.

That's great I meanthat truly, all I meant is it's not right or fair for the community to be saying I want ME2 DLC so even those that don't like it should buy it so that we have a chance to see any future DLC.

It's up to those that are happy to carry through the game rather then those unhappy with it most support it.

Sometimes asking the BSN to say or do anything good for BW is like going to a gang meeting to raise money for the local police...
It's just getting silly anyway...funny thing is I talked to a bunch of people who post hate all day here IRL and they don't feel the same off the boards...this place is just bonkers and if you think it's the overall feels you'd be wrong...
So really I'd say dont sweat it...ME3 should do fine...

It's simple, they want me to headcanon my happy ending, I'll headcanon my happy ending, but in return, they're going to have to headcanon me giving them my money.

I support BioWare whole heartedly, they're the only company making games that suit my tastes almost exactly. They may get some things wrong, but if let them disappear as a company because they get some things wrong I'll never forgive myself.

They can have my blind faith, I'm happy to let them. I only hope they don't come crashing down due to the negativity they've generated in others (or that others have generated in themselves, whichever the case may be), that wouldn't be fair on anyone.

Jade, I must say that after Leviathan I completely gave up on the idea that any DLC will change (wishful thinking) or at least affect the endings. I'll still buy future DLC, if they're good, because well, I'm a Mass Effect fan and I want to experience more of Shep's adventures, but will never go further than this. I played ME3 and especially Priority Earth ad nauseam and I never want to meet the brat ever again. Enough is enough.

I sort of do. Mass Effect is done for and I can't take the franchise seriously anymore. Don't get me wrong, ME1 and ME2 are still great games and I've decided that they're the only canon installments to me. But ME3 is a horror, it's that simple.

I really want them to stop making Mass Effect. It's like people wanted George Lucas to stop making Star Wars after the Phantom Menace. After people wanted Uwe Boll to stop making movies after... his first movie.

I just don't want it anymore. If they'd remake ME3 or instead shift their focus back to ME2 I'd be all over that, but naturally that will never happen. Knowing that ME3 is their focus is enough for me to want to stop. More content for this universe has become a completely pointless endeavour because the universe now sucks.

Agreed with OP 100%. ME team may failed with ME3 but they ARE the people that gave us ME1 and ME2. A little faith in them is something that only true fans would have...even if they are angry with what we got. Too bad recently on BSN there is only hate and anger at BW... If I were in their shoes, seeing everything like this, I would just give up because no one needs a fanbase that can only create negative topics. The game had flaws, the ending was one of the biggest ones, but it also had good moments. People here should learn to see the game as a whole (average game) and not only the ending.

Nah.

I like the sentiment I really do - but we were treated like consumers instead of art critics, so treat their work like a consumer product rather than a piece of art.

I love the sentiment - but companies like EA and Activision are pushing things that are money grabbing and anti-consumer...so right now is exactly the time people need to stop supporting companies on blind faith.

Make informed choices - if you like what you see, buy it. If you don't - leave it well alone. If they want to treat us like consumers, then behave like consumers and let the sales figures speak for themselves.

But going for blind faith or hold the wallet is only going to give them a data set of numbers they'll look at and misinterpret anyway.

But what alot of people wanted was for mass effect to not end as a average game but become a everlasting legacy

Good post TS you make good points. However, if we keep allowing these game companies get away with unfulfilled promises on what the game is supposed to deliver, whats to stop them from repeating this in the future. This being the entertainment industry you have to deliver upon your promises and then exceed some if you want to be successful.

Sorry jade. They messed up, some people will still buy and others just wont. It's not our fault. Bioware created a controversial product, gained some fans but lost others and they've lost that edge that they had with gamers. Your request is wrong on so many levels mainly because bioware has said that the ending aren't changing and if they were bioware would have not let their fan base run out on them. I want to stay engaged and support ME3 but fool me once...

Ps I still think you're cool.

Then you're giving up, forget about the money and think about Shepard.

If their dlc fails then they will just move on.

Taking a stand here on bsn by holding back your money wont get you anywhere, EA will just pull the plug and move on. Whose to say they will even notice "why" their dlc wont sell?

I mean BioWare probably will, but EA will just see a loss of revenue and cut it.

I don't want Mass Effect 3 being cut.

See the game as a whole and not just the ending? It was the end of an emotional and thrilling trilogy. A trilogy I personally invested 250+ hours in, and close to 200$ of money. (Including games and DLC). I think I have a right to be dissatisfied if I feel there's not enough closure to end a journey that I enjoyed for the most part. Yes, ME3 was a good game. BUT, I feel the ME2 romances were tossed aside, and some romances treated better than others, they completely ignored some lore entirely, the choices made earlier in the series didn't matter (rachni queen, collector base) and that they replaced most choices with autodialogue. I've followed Bioware since the original Knights of the Old Republic, and now I'm pretty close to abandoning them entirely.
