My thoughts on "closure" regarding the EC:
The ending as it is now and they way they try to force it on us is still a shame. I mean, yes, the EC made some things better, and it's overall a little more acceptable, but that's all. Only the most simple and basic logical flaws were addressed, and some very even made worse. For example, the stupid shuttle crash was now changed so that we don't actually see the crash, but just the Normandy on the jungle planet which flies off a few minutes later. Then why did they land there in the first place?! And if it still was a crash, why did the wave damage the .. ah, nevermind, I won't start again. The logic of the Starchild still makes no sense, it is outright retarded, they can explain as much as they want, that will not change. Casey Hudson and Mac Walters obviously can't accept that they're not more intelligent than thousands of thousands of their fans, it almost seems like they were obsessed with their great idea and can't let go of it.
One of my even bigger problems is the fact, that even the basic goal of the EC wan't really accomplished. They wanted to give us "closure" with the EC, that was the major thing, right? Well okay, I saw a few pictures of what is going to happen to the Krogan, to Wrex and Grunt, to Samara, Jack, Zaeed or Jacok. Okay, that's nice. But what the hell, neither did I see anything of Garrus', Liara's or Tali's future (FAN FAVORITES) besides that scene with the memorial wall, nor did I ever find out what will be the fate of my Shepard, who apparently is still starving under that pile of rubble! That was certainly not the kind of closure I was looking for ...
