Currently, I'd give ME3 a 9.5/10.

To make it 10/10, it would have to have what I was expecting it to have as soon as the game was announced [years ago?] - Scenes in the final mission where you see assets and the culmination of your decisions in the entire trilogy fighting alongside you.

- A scene where you see your entire Normandy crew (regardless of the 2 squad mates you chose to come with you) fighting alongside Shepard.

- A scene where the rachni (if you chose to save the queen in ME1 and ME3), tearing **** up fighting alongside the council races.

- A scene where the geth and quarians are fighting alongside each other (if you made those decisions in ME3 - or if you chose to kill the geth/quarians, they wouldn't show up).

- A scene dedicated to the Destiny Ascension, which you may/maynot have saved in ME1.

- A scene where your ME2 squadmates are shown fighting their respective battles.

In my opinion, the game (in this regard) is lacking. Otherwise, with the extended cut of course, its a nearly perfect masterpiece. If Bioware were to add a War Assets DLC including scenes such as these (which, would match their claim of not changing the endings), it would be the greatest game ever made.

Wow.

This is a really, really well done and thought out post. I have to say I approve and am impressed. Completely impressed. I love these. I loved the idea of War Assets, but did not enjoy seeing them not in effect during the final mission.

I especially enjoyed the Miranda and Jack one - really well done. Why wasn't this in the game? After everything you've done for Miranda - do you think she would be anywhere else but supporting you in retaking Earth? Same goes for Jack and using their rivalry to good effect is a stroke of genius.

All of them are very, very good, however. I would enjoy seeing this and would be more than happy to pay extra for this type of closure which definitely should be included as DLC in the future. I hope to see this and anything I can do to make this happen, I'm all for it! This would be amazing!!

Just imagine this:

- A cutscene - epic string music, all in slow-mo action, fade to black between scenes
~Kasumi shadow strikes a marauder
~Miranda slams a cannibal down using her biotics
~Grunt charges through a group of husks and finally pummels a brute
~Zaeed guns down a group of cannibals
~Jack rips the torso of a marauder apart using biotics
~Samara uses a biotics to take down a banshee
~Wrex shotguns down a couple ravagers
~etc.
For ME3 squad:
~Group battle, with squad organized in a circle like the MP Earth DLC trailer, fighting off waves of reapers in slo-mo. (WOULD BE SO EPIC)

Something simple like this, with no voice over required (and therefore less money need be spent) would go a long way to making Priority Earth incredibly epic.

Dont bump without adding something to the actual discussion. Woo and Priestley love to shut down threads because of bumps - especially ones that dont give ME3 glowing praise.

But on topic - I entirely agree that ME3 needs a war assets/London DLC. London is just crap. I mean I can play the entire game and just past the cerberus base - but there is ZERO incentive to EVER play London EVER again since its just so boring.

I would have sent that stuff back to the drawing board and said to do better.

Would make sense to have it a contained hub with a few mini-missions set up you can do in whatever order, all culminating in something akin to the Suicide Mission but a lot larger.

Would at least make all the gathered War Assets seem important - before, of course, they're all rendered mute by a color choice.

good idea

but id hate to give bioware something to really complain about lol 

i jsut want to see my assests come to live. i want to see my mercs get dresperate and plow a **** filled with explosives into a reaper to kill it. i want a to see the elcor, these walking tanks, mowing down reaper forces. 

most importantly i want all my assests present for role call!

Great ideas. I really wish Bioware would acknowledge this and take these ideas into consideration. We NEED some type of way to see our war assets in action. Hope this is upcoming in future DLC, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Would definitely love to see this be put into dlc but I doubt it will happen. I'm pretty sure Bioware is done with adding anything else to both the final mission and the endings. Which is a shame really, having this as a dlc would be a good move for Bioware to do and in all honesty I would be much more interested in buying this than the Omega dlc that's about to come out.

TBH....they could turn all of Priority Earth into a game by itself......and i would pre-order it with much joy!

For me, it would have been better if there was no war assets progress bar in the game to mislead people and their expectations when it came to the ending, instead simply have us acquire allies as we go along and actually visually show them in the final battle leading up to the climactic decision. I feel like Bioware got it backwards when it comes to the war assets system and it's my only real gripe with an otherwise great game imho.
