As long as it works as well as it does, it probably doesn't need more ammo. It sure as hell does not deserve any nerf, especially considering how hard it is to get and upgrade and how fast it runs out of ammo. It just happens to be the only well behaved assault rifle there is...others are "nice", but lack enough punch to really be an assault rifle. When I pick up an assault weapon, I expect it to have the ability to kill anything I point it at, short of a battleship. The revenant could qualify if it were possible to keep it on target on an average character. If anything, give the harrier natural AP and buf the revenant by making it slightly easier to keep on target.

I dont think BW are gonna do it. With lots of players using the harrier which is the best AR in the game now instead of a buff i am expecting them to nerf it unfortunately.

A majority of us know that BW balances stuff around usage data/statistics. Harrier being the best AR in the game right now (and by no means op) is used a lot which clearly shows that a nerf is coming.

I agree that it needs ammo boost.

But at the same time, I fear it will be nerfed if they do it. I'm bit paranoid when it comes to Harrier.

Thats about the best rifle in the game, if it gets nerfed.....well, mass effect 3 will be sold to the nearest gamestop and some poor sap who doesnt know any better can play it. It just sounds like you dont have a harrier and your jealous that someone is using something you wish you had.

But I agree with you, it will be pretty bad if it gets nerfed. As it already has so many weakpoints.

I wonder what kind of backlash there would be. Or if we're so inured to getting all our cool sh*t nerfed, that we'd just accept it and instead argue the relative merits of substituting all our weapons for harsh language (which, due to the swear filter, has conveniently already been nerfed).

Again, I wonder about the logic behind such a method of enacting balance changes.

Is it really 'Fine'? Honestly the ammo count on it is rather infuriating. Yes you might say it's the only thing 'balancing' it, but IMO the Revenant and PPR can out pre-form it in some ways. For a UR that's full auto with a 20 clip gaining two ammo per upgrade is just pathetic. Would it really be 'unbalanced' to give a FULL AUTO UR at least 4-5 shots extra an upgrade? Make the difference from level I to level X ~3 extra clips?

Most ammo starved weapons get a 100-300% increase in spare ammo. The Harrier gets + 20%. That is a bit low of an ammo upgrade isn't it?

I think the Harrier could use a modest boost in overall rounds and rounds per clip. Say like 10 more rounds per clip and the resulting overall ammo count to compensate for it. OR perhaps overall rounds increased so there's at least 2 more clips before I have to run to an ammo box... Even with the ammo gear and ammo mod, it still feels woefully low on ammo.

I don't want it to have the same ammo as a Rev with those mods (100+round clips, 600+rounds total)... but a couple more reloads would really help.

But, I only have it at lvl 2, so I'm don't know what it is at X...

Damage is good. Perhaps right where it should be or about 10pts. low. Again, X level might cover this.

Otherwise a well balanced UR that works well with mods.

This is true, though nerfing a good rifle is a bad idea. Instead buff the other rifles so people have more choice in which weapon to take.

Seneva has  a good point here. Buffing weapons to encourage variety is a good thing.

Common Weapon: Good

UnCommon Weapon: Quite Good

Rares Weapons: Great 

Ultra Rares Weapons: Superb


All Weapon Mods should be good enough to negate certain weaknesses of the weapons. Like Assault Rifle Thermal Clip Mod should be good enough to compliment the weakness of the Harrier so you don't need to be a Destroyer or use Barrage Gear Slot. But It should stay legit with using either Destroyer or Barrage Gear.

Yes I do want Cerberus Harrier for my Cerberus Adept but I don't want to rely on Destroyer or Barrage Gear to negate weakness of the Harrier.

i don't mind Certain weapons having weakness as long as there are 2 or more ways to negate it.

BW refuses to unlock the Harrier for me because I play the Solider a lot and often top scores using the Mattock.

Dig the thread IM.  What a lot of people don't realize is that while the Harrier does by far the most burst and single mag DPS of the ARs, over the course of an entire game it's not the best AR in terms of sustained DPS.

The Harrier Needs More Ammo! Period...

The AR's need a buff in general so that the Harrier isn't the only one that feels like an AR... Period.

Anyone that uses the phrase "OP" in relation to a Co-Op game obviously doesn't really know what teamwork is all about. Yes some guns are going to be more powerful/better than others, So your favorite isn't one of the best, big freaking deal... The Krysae never needed the nerf it got, it only ever needed to lose the AoE.

So yes, alot of people use the Harrier...
Yes, you pretty much need to be sat on an ammo box on gold/plat.

But until they fix the rest of the AR's the Harrier is always going to be used more than any other. Until that changes, I can't see it getting its much needed ammo buff...

If they nerf the Harrier, then Bioware is the biggest troll ever at bsn. Considering all of the glitch problems with the game, ridiculous cheap enemy buffs and server problems...to nerf one of the best guns in the game would cause a lot of people to put mass effect down and play something else. I love mp, but a lot of people aren't happy with bioware because of the sp ending and because of all the mp problems. It's in the best interest of bioware to cater to the majority, not the elite few who have nothing better to do than play this game 24/7.

That class is becoming the bane of the player base... I am sick of it. Every random in a Platinum PUG now has a Demolisher with a Harrier or a Destroyer with a Typhoon and a Piranha. I rather enjoy watching them try to hold the line, and failing miserably at it. Demolishers in a hack circle are a downright joke... if they can't spam grenades at a distance, all the can do is spam rockets up close. Wave 10 Platinum PUG hack circles are a comedy in themselves... with 10+ rockets going off each hack. It's hilarious.
