It's time, the Harrier must be balanced... Or do you think it's fine the way it is?

I think it just needs one extra clip. Just that, and I would be happy, with a small weight increase.

The weight is already too high. An increase in weight would just favour the N7 Demolisher as the best class for the Harrier even more.

The weight system is a nice idea in singleplayer. Soldiers can carry five weapons. Power classes can still carry two weapons if you pick a sensible combination. I like e.g. Cerberus Harrier X and Paladin X or Avenger X (it works very well with level 6 Incinary Ammo Power, even on Insanity) and Talon X.

But in multiplayer it is by far to restrictive. BioWare should instead have figured out a way how weapon classes like soldiers could have had more weapons instead of crippling weapon use for power classes.

The Harrier is one of the best assault rifles in the game and is one of the few that actually "feel" like an assault rifle. I just hate being glued to an ammo box. Please give it more ammo. That is all.

The Harrier and Mattock both should have 20 shots per clip by default, and should have 160 or 240 in reserve at level X.  I'm basing that on these rifles' closest modern analog being an M4 / HK416 or perhaps a 7.62 caliber SR25 version of the AR15.  Those typically have 20 round mags, and many body armors have 4 or 6 double pouches for spare mags, which would equal 8x20 or 12x20.

I realize these rifles are not their modern equivalents, but anytime a 20th century weapon outclasses a similar weapon from 200 years from now, I call BS.

Oh btw, this should not come with a weight increase.  If anything, their weight should be decreased, the Harrier's at the very least.

Almost all modern and many weapons going back a hundred years or more outclasses about every weapon in Mass Effect. Name any modern weapon that needs so many shots to kill any target with the possible exception of the .22 caliber weapons which is about what most mass effect weapons feel like or less comparatively. The SP me2 feels much better for weapon damage. even me1 seems better for that. Some muzzle loading weapons were .50 caliber or bigger. Some of them were rifles and fairly accurate. So in the future we have pea shooters, BB Guns, Pellet Guns, and .22 caliber weapons apparently.

I also agree. More often than not more advanced weapons tend to weigh less than previous weapons.

I've never really needed a clip increase since a) most maps have multiple ammo boxes and other than Rio, most maps encourage you ti "circle" the map...

re: Clip size
Should be noted that in novels and in the codex, ME weaponry actually holds thousands of rounds...Going by lore, you would never need to reload the Avengers since it actually holds thousands of rounds...

It's an attempt at game blancing...

I thought weight was a nice idea, but the fact that any class can use any weapon did give me less of a reason to play a Soldier in multiplayer.
