Because everyone hated Hammerdins in D2.

FYI.

"Hoy goise! I am just going to twoshot diablo for you, then 1 shat you all in PVP."

So terrible.

Does anyone remember the PS 1, and how all the kids back then would play games for two days after discovering whatever god mode cheat was available, and getting bored.

remember the gameshark I would beat a game once then go total god mode.

up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start. (or select, start) most known cheat ever gooo CONTRA  haha

For longevity.

If the game was balanced, people might actually relax enough to play something other then farming matches.

Farming happens because of the structure of RNG and the effect of the balance system on DLC weapons and characters. If they want longevity, balance is absolutely the last thing they should worry about.

The game becomes too easy with OP weapons in turn people use one thing constantly.  Balance makes the game more diverse with weapon usage.  Also the games life span increases because weapons go up and down

This game, and any game will always be harder for some people, and easier for others.  I suppose they are trying to make it a fresh, and challenging, yet fun experience for everyone, which may not even be possible.  Even though it's Co-op, people who play with friends might find that it's just too darn easy on the easiest hardest difficulty (not my personal experience).  I do think they are trying to make it a fun experience for everyone.

(And no, I don't support nerfing, but I try to understand it)

You hit on a key thing. Everyone on BSN seems to have a valid & respectable reason for their view on game balance. I've yet to read a post here that suggests a sinister motive behind anyone's position. However I've read many posts accusing those with opposing virews of evil intent.

The world would be a better place if we all tried to see things from other perspectives.

Also if ice cream was free

I see both sides of the argument.
On the one hand most players want a challenge. Being stuck in a game with rocket glitcher with nothing to do wouldn't be much fun I'd imagine.

On the other hand, not all of us a good enough to solo platinum with a level 1 character, using the Predator. So for us poor players incapable of such a feat we do need weapons and characters that can knock the bad guys over before the next ice age.

At the moment, I don't think anything is OP at all. A few weapons need a buff to bring them up to viability. Disciple is an obvious choice for a buff. It really has no role at the moment.

Farming happens BECAUSE there's a store...Doesn't matter if the store had a different system just as long as it exists. People will ALWAYS focus on getting the most amount of credits out of the least amount of effort.
