The title kind of says it all: When I import my Mass Effect 1 saves to the second game via Configure, it doesn't work and when I reach the 'Import ME1 Character' screen nothing is there. So I search at the forums and figured out how to do it manually, and so, I placed my 'char' file at this location: C:\\Users\\User1\\Documents\\BioWare\\Mass Effect 2\\Save\\ME1 
Then I went to 'Configure' again and selected this location for my saved games and saved.
After that, I launched the game and when I clicked 'Import ME1 Character' my ME1 character was there and for a moment I was happy. But then I realised I couldn't load it. I clicked at 'Save 0', I clicked at 'Import Character' several times, but nothing happened.
I'm really frustrated, because I really want to import my ME1 character and there's no way I'll start with a new one.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
