Is it too early to start guessing what the "make good" thing BioWare is going to offer the folks who purchase, and are disappointed with, Dragon Age 3?  When DA2 came out and was found to be crap, BioWare gave away free copies of Mass Effect 2.  When Mass Effect 3 was recieved less than well, BioiWare had to make an ending DLC because giving free copies of Dragon Age 2 would have been more of an insult than a make good effort.

So what will be the 'make good' effort for Dragon Age 3?  Will it be a DLC add-on, or perhaps a better received game from elsewhere in the EA library?  I'm going to go with a free Origin download of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.  It is a fantast RPG, so it will actually be much more similar to DA3 than ME2 was to DA2.  On top of that, it will have been out long enough that new sales of it will have dwindled to nothing, so it won't really be much of a loss to EA.

What do the rest of you think will be the 'make good' effort for DA3?

This premise is false. Nobody will be disappointed with DA3.

maybe a free copy of origins or da2. I can't see them giving away a game like kingdoms of amalur, because it's not a bioware game and it's relatively new.

Now really that is pretty early and very pessimistic...

But hey, if bioware really fails with DA3 and has to make up for it they can win ME over with giving free copies of the ME3 Special Edition: Shepard's Triumph, with all the DLCs in it, inclding the final one where Shepard actually wins the war and destroys the baddies as it should have been, and no RGB-EC-bullshiat...

Though I prefer they just get it right from the start, damn it...can't be THAT hard. Just look at your past games, and what the fans liked and didn't like, and BY ALL MEANS AVOID ALL STATISTICS FROM YOUR PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETINS ANALYSTS...and barricade the doors against any EA-agents that want to check out the game...

Having further questions, just ask me Bioware, I am full of good advice! Posted Image

If DA3 will fail us, then I'm done with BioWare Games. It's the last chance I'm giving them.

Based on the negative tone and assumption based on no available evidence other than ME3 which was made by a different team I'd summize this thread is borderline Trolling

The negativity stems from the past games that didn't held up to the high standards and expectations many fans have with Bioware since BG1 + 2 or Kotor.

ME2 was mediocre, and the story was plain stupid in regards of a supposed trilogy  (game was fun though, if you switched your brains off and didn't know about the sequel)

DA2 was medicore too, and flat out dissapointed the many fans of DA Origins in terms of gameplay and story

The Old Republic. The mere fact alone that a MMO was continuing KOTOR1 + 2 was a blow to many fans (me included), and though I wished so badly to return to ancient Star Wars times I never played TOR. Guess I am not the only one. And the rest got dissapointed for various reasons, leading this MMO to become F2P in record time. Another blow to Bioware's reputation...

And then there was ME3, the most horrific thing ever done to a successful franchise, plus Bioware's ignorant behaviour towards the fans. They still haven't understood the problem of the ME3-ending, and failed to communicate their vision, if there ever was one, with the fans...

No, the negativity after so many dubious decisions towards former very successful franchises is justified. And I don't buy this whole "Its a different team stuff"...

If it is labeled "Bioware", then they are all in the same boat. And they will sink together. Already the ME-team deliberatly slammed holes into the hull, the KOTOR-team happily cut the masts and sails, while the DA-team is still in control of the steering wheel and might reach the save harbour with DA3, if only they take a look at the damn navigation maps! (in other words: listen to what the fans expect/wish for)...and ignore the siren's calling (EA: Come on bioware, follow us to the shores of riches, where all casual gamers wait for your arrival...)

but I agree so much: This thread isn't really needed, maybe revive it when DA3 actually got released...

How about just making a good game. That's good enough for me.

Mass Effect 4: Shepard Returns

Yeah, that one, canonizing Shepard is alive and retconning every other colour out, and being all about shepard kicking Reaper or Leviathan butts might actually make me, at least, have another look at Mass Effect. But as things are now, that franchise is dead, buried under the ruins of its failed ambitions. R.I.P Shepard, it was a nice ride, and you'll always live in my heart, doing what you were supposed to do since ME1! Posted Image

You could see the train wreck that was DA2 coming a mile away. I was one of the many who focused on the positive, and tried my best to ignore the negative and just hoped that things would turn out better than it appeared they would, and the fact is that there was a lot of positive, just not nearly enough. It was exactly the opposite with DAO, you could see its awesomeness coming a mile away, sure it wasn't perfect, but you didn't exactly have to work hard to avoid what little negative there was, because the overhwleming majority of what you were hearing was awesome. That's the way DA3 has been so far, DAO level awesomeness, and maybe even better. I'm nothing but positive so far, pretty much everything I'm hearing I'm loving, I'm feeling really good about DA3 being the best game of the series, so I don't think they're really going to have to worry about 'making good' for folks not liking DA3. DA3 itself is them making good for those of us who thought DA2 could've, and should've, been better, and I'm pleased as punch with it so far!
