I was working on a standalong campaign mod, finished what I was doing, exported, etc. I fired up the game to test it and got an error message: "Unable to load saved game."
So I went back into the toolset to try and figure out what I did to the mod to make it not load, and I couldn't find anything. Then I tried some of my other mods... they don't load. All of them have the same "Unable to load saved game" message.
All of these mods were working fine yesterday, and I only made any changes to one of them. Now none of them will load? I don't understand and I can see no reference to this problem anywhere having been encountered by anyone else. I don't even understand why it would be referring to my mods as "saved games."
Saved games by the way, work just fine. Mod content that extends the single player campaign works without a problem. All of my standalone campaign mods get that same "Unable to load saved game" mesage.
Has anyone seen this happen before?
Trying to open campaign mod: "Unable to load saved game." Uh... what?

Update: one module now works; I manually deleted everything in its folder under Addins and re-exported. I thought I had it, but this solution does not work for the other two mods. This makes no sense at all.

Tried deleting and re-importing a non-working mod from a B2B backup. All I got was file names identical to the ones I exported, none of them have any properties at all. The areas have no area layouts or placeables anymore, the conversations have no lines of dialogue, the characters are all default naked human males.
Tried a B2B import from an earlier backup on one of the other non-working mods. Everything looks right in the toolset, but I still get that "Unable to load saved game" message when I try to launch it.
So, I have the same problem with three different mods, and at this point they're each not working in a unique way. (One is fixed, one is broken worse than it was before, and the other one is no better or worse off than it was - but still broken).
It would be great to find out what the heck is going on here. Two-thirds of everything I've done since I installed this toolset is just suddenly gone for no apparent reason. If there's no explanation for this, then there's no way of being sure it won't ever happen again. And if that's the case, I'm afraid to continue working on anything, knowing that it could suddenly and for no apparent reason just up and disappear, unable to be restored even from a backup I made long before I had any problems.

OK I reinstalled the game, reinstalled the toolset. Now the two that weren't working are working just fine, and the one I managed to fix is no longer working. Also, I'm getting the same error on any stand-alone campaign mods that I download.
The B2B loads that come up blank in my toolset come up on my roommate's computer without any kind of problem.
It would be really great if there was somebody, maybe somebody that works for Bioware, that had any freaking clue what is going on here because this makes no sense at all to me.

Remember how I said the first two mods that wouldn't load were now working? Well, that was last night. This morning, they're not working. "Unable to load saved game." I didn't play the game or do anything with the toolset in the intervening time. They just went from working to not working on their own for no discernible reason.

No response here... no response on the tech support forum... no response from my submission on the tech support site. This really sucks. I did another complete uninstall and reinstall of the game, the toolset, SQL Server, and the database. Afterwards, everything worked just fine for about a day. And then suddenly, "Unable to load saved game."
I would love it if somebody, somewhere, had any freaking idea what on earth was happening here. I really don't want to give up on this game, but I'm pretty much at that point.

first of all, i propably can't help you but i have some ideas:
- try moving the files in your modules from [module name]\\core\\override to [module name]\\module\\override
- empty any core override folders
I had a problem with a creatue file i edited which i solved by moving it out of the core folder like mentioned above
If you already tried that, sorry that i couldn't help and i hope you find a solution... looking forward to the rampaging nug as character

Yes, thanks Apolyon6k; I had already figured it out, it was my customized default_player.utc files that were causing the problem. I somehow got it into my head that they belonged in core/override. Which worked okay if there was only one of them, but when two separate modules each had one, it caused the problem above.
Now, to get the Nug working properly, I need to get into creating custom races and classes. (because it won't do to have you character sheet say you're human).

oh, the default_player.utc
nasty file to play around with.
I'm at the same point in development, classes and backgrounds are covered in tutorials, races not so much.
unfortunatly my time is limited at the moment, so i have to leave my module be for some time...
