I played a pug gold game yesterday and the shadow on our team had 10000 score and thier only medal was 25 assits so I tried to kick him.  Got 2 votes but other guy wouldn't budge so I left lobby I was hosting and started a new one.  One guy, not the one I wanted to kick sends me message saying I am dick for not letting the other guy stay and quiting as host.  I don't get it if somoene cant even get 25 kills wouldnt we be better of just playing with 3 people anyway.  This guy died 2 times per round then beleeds out. He never gelled  or used a missle.  He was never near the rest off the team.   So what if he switched to an adept the rest of the team was tech so that wasn't gonna help anyway.  I figured a 1 game gamble was enough why risk it again.

Basically:

If you don't want to play with Randoms, play with friends, otherwise don't **** about how they play.

Funny are your friends on every single time you are?

They were probably friends, I hate when that happens, two dudes joining my lobby and thinking they own the place. If someone scores lower than 15k I assume they lagged or something, however if they don't leave after one game, that can mean only one thing: they are leeching.

I don't mind low score, so long as the person isn't dying and needing to be revived every round. But as you said, that was exactly what was happening. I usually don't bother trying to kick people, I just leave. If the other people in the lobby want to give it a go with the person again, more power to them.

yesterday i played with a n7-3 human adept 2. gold / dagger / reaper. his scored only 15k on starting of wave 10 but was very team friendly player (though occasionally he was using singularity on brute/banshees). didnt die much either. still feeling sorry for him as he got disconnected on wave 10. :-(

No, but I don't ever **** at other people or try to kick them if they're actually trying.

I had that gold medal by wave 5.  Score doesnt really matter unless its excesively bad.  If he was with the team and not dieng evry 30 seconds and always bleeding out on objective rounds I may have kept playing with him.  I told him on the mic in wave 10 when he was dead on other side of map from us to gel but nope bleeds out again.  I always gel in objective rounds.  The team has enough to worry about.  Not gelling is rude unless you are right next to your mates.

10,000 points on gold is pitiful (you get more from full extraction/gold difficulty bonus). Bleeding out repeatedly and never using equipment/consumables on top of that, he was a leech and deserves to be worse than kicked (i.e. banned).

More importantly how the hell is it possible to get only 10k points on gold?

Completing wave 10 is 10k points ffs.

Yes, would've done the same. But hey, I didn't know it was possible to send someone a message without befriending him on Origin. Offers new possibilities...

There's a difference between giving it your best and failing, and simply being outmatched. When someone is severely outmatched they should drop the difficulty down to a level where they can actually contribute. Being a burden (as OP described), rather than an asset (no matter how small), is grounds for casting a vote to kick in my book. I don't normally kick on Gold, but if someone is annoyingly awful you can be sure they're getting the boot.

Yet another thread where the class bully wants his way.

If you don't play by my rules, I'm taking my ball away.

Here's a radical idea - If you're in a game that you're not enjoying, just leave and find another one.

I mostly play on Silver (I don't last long on Gold) and today played  with a team mate who just went out on his own, didn't do the missions, and died a lot. Yes, I still revived him - he'll learn, and anyway It was still an enjoyable game.

I just wish some people would chill out B)

OP you were in the right

1.) either that guy was not ready for gold and there is no excuse for that he can either deal with getting kicked when he under-performs and run around leeching, or he can go down to silver/bronze. (RNG sucks sorry he cant get credits fast on lower difficulties)

2.) He had a bad game, in which case he should either send you a message explaining what went wrong, or if he can not even be bothered to plead his case he should leave and find another lobby.

Xbox lets you message anyone.  Isn't the bonus of 10000 at the end of the match divided between all 4 players so ie 2500 each.  We only got 5k for partial since he ran to extraction right away and got insta killed by phantom when we were trying to kite the enemies away.  The map and enemy were chosen so that lowers your possible exp quite a bit too.

I'm pretty sure it's the same type of score bonus as the normal 25, 50, 75 kills and it's a solid 10k for everyone no division.
At least that would explain why before wave 10 on gold peoples scores drag around 30 - 50k and then suddenly jump a lot after wave 10.
And if I'm right and ya'll completed wave 10 it's impossible for this cat to only have 10k points. Maybe 20-30k would be more on the point if dis guv was shooting things the entire game.

Silver's a cakewalk.

Having a non-teammate, good-for-dieing, non-cosumable-using person on Gold is much more of a liability. I have no sympathy for a person with that low of a score who refuses to use medi-gel or missisles.

1) No it is a squad bonus. Whether it is divided or not I don't know but you only get 10k period.
2) More likely reason is that everyone rockets Wave 11. Seriously no one ever rockets when it is actually useful in PUGs. If I'm "dragging" down there it's a quick run and I never end up getting revives or much of any medals. I have what I killed with rockets and not much else. In PUGs however I'm often over 100k and doubling 2nd place's score.
3) If he already saw that he got 10k and you're saying he can't if you're right then you are clearly wrong... or OP is a troll.
