So PAX came and went and not a single bit of news. That was a huge mistake

Borderlands 2 is going to dethrone it on this man's PS3, at least.
Leviathan DLC may have come this week, but I was 100 times more pumped after watching the new Randy Pitchford interview. It may have been insanely long of an interview, but there's a man that gets it. That really amped up my anticapation for BL2.

...i hope Bioware releases a standalone MP game in the near future
This is why I don't think there's any real rush to "save ME3 MP." Why save an afterthought that you plan on replacing with a full product, you'd might as well just let it limp along. The casuals are leaving ME3 MP, and make no mistake about it every community needs casuals. The game/store/etc is not particularly casual user friendly, and they've either moved on/are moving on/will be moving on. These are the players who fill our lobbies, the lobbies that will lie in wait. It's not all doom and gloom, I'm sure MP will have it's death rattle. One more DLC and perhaps even a haphazard set of bug fixes slapped together a day late and a buck short. You must admit however, it's been a heck of a ride.

I still prefer 3rd person to 1st person. If BL has a fully functional 3rd person, I might disappear for a while.
I believe that there were a few lines of text you could add into your settings file for the first game that enabled 3rd person mode.

The "sacrifice" has already been made though during the devlopment process. Why are the "loyalists" not able to play now and why will that change with fewer "non-loyalists" playing?Shadohz wrote...
I rather welcome the release of BL2. Not because I'll be playing it, but because a fair majority of those people that ME3 got sacrificed for "their comfort" will be leaving and the loyalist will be able to play.

- My ME3MP experience is that there are tons of active players, I'm never waiting for a full lobby (PC), there are even many new players who just started, according to their N7 level (played with an N7 1 last night!), just came out of a game with an N7 20 and 38...
- I very much prefer a working DLC over some bugfest that they rushed out the door just to release SOMETHING...
- I'd even prefer a really good patch over actual new content

It was pretty buggy/incomplete though. There were dead spots that would eat your shots every 90 degrees. Camera also wasn't nearly as fluid with it.

I see as many players as I always have, this past week has N7 ranks ranging from 17 to in the 5,000s. I know a number of people doing SP for a while and doing the full ME1->ME2->ME3 now that Leviathan has come out. I guess some people are just fickle.

What do you expect? It's just another horde mode rip-off. I'm surprised it lasted this long.
Because Gears of War invented Horde Mode, right?
