Gotta get one more post in here before a certain Ninja who's name may or may not be Stan inevitably closes this...

I have my moments, both good and bad. It depends on which class and loadout I go with. One thing I wish we had were some kind of stats that show our hit percentage and headshot percentage. With a gun that doesn't have much of a spray like the paladin then I am a pretty good shot. I am good enough to solo a gold round when needed though I will admit I don't care to do it. Overall I would say average to slightly above average.

Above average. I can solo gold but feel highly inadequate in plat. I haven't played much recently but I did learn some plat speedrunning tips from some guys in team arelex (specifically slimjim, bo0mbastic, & defleshing) a while back so I think I'll probably get a bit better.

Depends on the criteria. I play the game as team effort. Some character builds suit me well, others don't. Lag dictates what characters I can be effective with at times. I'm a PUG player in silver and at times gold.

My measure of effectiveness is how the team goes.

Recently played a series of games where I came a distant second to a very talented player each time; but I was setting up the Biotic explosions, or holding one side of the map, or doing the objectives or resussing the team while (s)he was off killing stuff (amazing how easy objectives are when the enemy is elsewhere getting killed). Without the rest of the team, though, the high score was more likely a wipe out instead, as we provided the space, warm bodies (are Geth warm?) and medigels for them to succeed.

That other player is far, far better than me at ME3, but am I effective. Yes. Mostly, but I've played truely horribly at times.

When I score top, I always thank the team. Even if they can't hear it.

For those awesome, self congratulatory players who claim to "carry" the team. At times you might have. However, often you haven't, you know...

I am a decent player. However I prefer to play as a support character.

I use my adepts to set up BE's and blow enemies up.

In addition I use my Geth Infil as a medic. I love suicide charging behind enemy lines(especially against Heretic Geth) to save my allies and then escape to safety.

The only time I hold the line or focus on killing stuff is with Destroyer + Typhoon.

I cannot however solo a wave 10 gold if the team gets instakilled in the first 5 seconds of the wave. Am not that good.

I rock the Krogan Soldier and have been since day 1. I know him like the back of my hand. I've bested many a people in PUB matches but never bragged about it. People are good at games such as Reach, COD, Battlefield, etc. Me? I'm good at this game. I like to think of myself as the best Krogan Soldier period!

Damn right.

Best I have seen anyways.

I mean you were keeping right up with me using a Geth Infiltrator. In fact you were ahead until like wave 9.

We're both Badass Banditos man. We roll into PUBs and leave people feeling honoured that they crossed paths with us. Lmao.

*whispers loudly*
Psst! Hey CNevarezN, you're mic's still on! ;)

I stink. I can't solo doodly-squat. Not even bronze. I really do believe I can contribute positively to a team though, and on a good day I can finish a round of bronze or silver to avoid a total wipe. Sometimes. If I have lots of missiles. And ops survival packs. And med packs. Even though I'm trying hard to get in the habit of using cover I still get clobbered from the side periodically - my situational awareness is really poor. Oh, and I get stuck on the corners of things. A lot. And get caught in L-shaped corners when I'm trying to dodge fire.

But I keep at it and I'm slowly improving. That's the plan, anyway. ^_^

I think I'm a 4 or 5 out of 10. So, silver. Still working on being able to play gold consistently.

Maybe an 8/10? I can do well on U/U/G, and can carry a round or so. I'm alright with Platinum I guess, but my success rate isn't really good, I still need a dependable team.

I've soloed up to Wave 10 on Gold. I mean, I'm good but when I play with the godly players, I am nothing... >_>

I get that far more often than I'd like. I find it's lag-related more than anything else, so I wouldn't be blaming yourself so much. Especially when lagging and sprinting, I hate having to waste 2 seconds getting in to and out of cover because the game thinks its what you're trying to do.

i'll put it this way: if i'm not at the top of the scoreboard with any class on gold, it's a rare thing.

i LOVE meeting people who can keep up with me; it means i can depend on them when things inevitably go pear-shaped on a wave 10 hack or objective.

I'm a casual player who prefers bronze most of the time, is safe in silver, and finds gold a challenge.

Four "me"s on Platinum would put Team Arelex's speedruns to shame. Put it that way.

Although according to AreleX, I'm a scrub. :(

Can't remember the last time I didn't top the scoreboard, no matter what character! I don't think im that good because I do miss shots at times and mess up rockets etc, I just think the people I seem to play with are really bad.

also, just wanted to throw this out: skill isn't just the scoreboard, it's map knowledge, and most importantly, knowledge of how to handle overwhelming situations.

it's knowing when to get your missiles out, and where to fire them to do the most good. it's knowing when to medigel so as not to lure your teammates out from a fortified area. it's knowing when to prioritize objectives over downed teammates, and it's the capability and willingness to communicate and work with others.

People add me on origin and say I'm a good player, but I don't really think so.

I use the Krogan Soldier and Paladin with deadly efficiency, as I do with the Human Soldier and Phoenix Vanguard. But I limited myself to those type of playstyles to the point where I have difficulty using anything that doesn't involve brute force, shotguns, or assault rifles.

I like to use the Geth Engineer on occasion, and for the sake of fun I decide to remove his trusty Pulse Rifle and put on the javelin. I did really bad....REALLY bad. It wasn't about the damage, but that I'm so used to fighting in mid range to where aiming isn't important (Except in the case of the Paladin and his crusader: ALL RANGE MODE.) that I couldn't properly get the hang of fighting. I relegated myself to taking potshots at brutes when I wasn't busy spewing geth turrets around to heal the teammates who were forced to do my 'main' role as we had no frontline type characters.

In short: I like to think of myself as a great player but really, I'm just one of the Lords of Close Quarters. So I'm not as versatile a player as I wish I was, but I fulfill my needed role very well.

Better than the average pug player, typically like to play unorthodox weapons/classes.

can carry gold (but not multiple rounds in a row) can contribute in platinum with a competent team.

Been told by many people I've played with from this forum that I was on of the best players in the game as of yet... So I would say I am pretty good. Put in so many hours, lots of time understanding and datamining teh hell out of my C.ini. This is one of my favorite games of all time.

LOL. Yeah me too. One one map, I get caught on the same corner 9 out 10 times... here's me trying to outrun a Banshee, and instead decide to crouch at an exposed corner.
