I am the worst player I know. The only time I am at the top of the scoreboard is when I solo. That is also the only time I am aware of a negative score being possible. I constantly look for other players to carry me, and when I inevitably score the lowest, I blame my kids' and wife's internet usage causing me lag for my poor gameplay.

If anyone would like to play with me, please send me a friend request.

Decent, not great. I can competently play gold, and with randoms, I'm usually the best on the team, but I absolutely suck compared to most of the players on the forums.

An N7 Operative is only as good as his connection, or so they say.

I'm ok. Mostly play on silver, odd matches on gold. Not good enough to 'carry' a gold match but usually not the guy on the bottom either. I always stay with the drone, don't leave the hacking area, and I use my rockets on wave 10 to take out the 'important targets'. I'm no very good with infiltrators. I get the most mileage out of my Batarian Soldier, N7 Paladin, and N7 Destroyer. So I'd say I'm just 'decent'.

Since moving to the destroyer I've become much more dependent on my team-mates. But when I have a good team alongside me I am FAR more effective than when I was playing infiltrator.

I still feel I'm better than a good 90% of the players I see. Before even considering questionable metrics like the scoring system, I die significantly less than most, I can happily solo groups/types of enemies that a large majority of players seem to flee from and I'm usually first to the objective zones.

Also: Phantoms. Yes they're nasty, especially alongside other enemies, but if you can't solo a lone phantom you need to either A: re-work your build, or B: go down a difficulty level.

how good am i? i'm as good as i need to be....by that i mean, i can hold my own on any difficulty, with any character/weapon (score wise and contributing wise)...if i need to take the lead or finish a wave or 2, i can...if i need to 'support' others that are taking the lead, i can do that too...

I'm good enough to carry people in Gold, but need a good team to be successful in Platinum.

I like to think I'm an above average Gold player.

Then, I have one of those days where I'm hosting, only one other player joins, I'm out of medi-gels, he gets one-shotted by a Phantom and she takes me down with her palm cannon. On Bronze. Talk about yer bad days...

I'd say good to skilled, particularly in teamplay. I almost know where all the spawns are located (some on Vancouver and Rio still eluding me), I intensively rely on mic for strategies, I can solo waves on gold and I can score three consecutive headshots on moving phantoms on gold with a Javelin.

My known flaws : I can't solo gold games (because I don't want to), all my characters have maxed fitness except for the Shadow and the Demolisher, I still think Decoy is useless, Swarmers are priority targets even during waves and I can go nuts in some games (especially when I play Drell Vanguard on Adrenaline). Plus : I lack some experience in Platinum, even if more than half of the games I played (a dozen) were successful with a decent personnal score.

I started playing gold regularly about 3 weeks ago, and I'd say I'm getting quite good at it, though I'm nowhere near as skilled as the people who post solo videos etc on youtube. I always play with PUGs and I've found that not knowing how your teammates will act really teaches you to play with survival in mind. I'm a real teamplayer, so I never wander off on my own and try to keep everyone alive and get objectives done ASAP. The classes I play best are Batarian soldier, Salarian engineer and Turian sentinel (in that order). It's happened quite a few times that I managed to drag a PUG through an entire match while playing one of those 3.
Also, (slightly off topic) not all new players are useless on a gold match I discovered. There was this guy - N7 was 40ish and only low-level common weapons - who asked not to kick him just so he could see how it was. He asked nicely so I couldn't refuse :D Anyways, I gave him some basic advice and asked him to cover my flanks and warn about phantoms and such, and he really did an excellent job at it. During the later waves he managed to keep centurions and nemesiseses (?!) off my back quite effectively so I could deal with the more dangerous baddies. He ended up having an even better score than one of the rambos who kept getting killed. So yeah, it was a refreshing change to have someone new to the game who helped out more than self-proclaimed veterans who do nothing but die on you every wave. Playing PUGs doesn't necessarily have to be the hellish ordeal that a lot of people make it out to be :D
