My two most memorable are the time I was looking for a hidey hole at the start of wave 11, on Goddess/Cerberus/Silver. I thought "that looks a likely spot to wait the clock out" and as I move towards it, it becomes apparent that my hidey hole is a spawn point. Down and stomped in less time than it takes to say it. At least I learned where a spawn was.

The second is from Glacier/Silver/Geth. Wave 10, Drone Escort, team gathers around drone and sets off. Artoo leads us round first corner into what can only be described as a "Wall of Geth". Just managed to dodge back round corner as rest of team died in a hail of plasma and rockets. Equipped missile launcher, dodged back to unleash death, first plasma ball hit before I finished my roll...you can guess the rest. This incident is the reason I now ALWAYS equip missile launcher at the end of wave 9.

I once remapped my melee key for easier access, and discovered mid-wave that i don't remember where it is now. True story.

Self confessed bronze player here:

-set everything to random except difficulty, leave it to bronze,
-join a game halfway through,
-poo myself when it's thrown me into a gold game,
-get excited cause it's wave 11 and there's 1 minute left and try my hardest to stay alive and help.
-can't believe my luck when through no fault of my own or exploiting anything I could get loads of credits
- all of us alive in the pick up at the end
- mission failure
-zero credits
-realise I probably broke the game for everyone else and their time was wasted.
-feels bad even though I had no control over it.

Oh crap

Another "oh crap" moment....

Reapers/Jade/Gold and we just completed a drone objective...and then we ALL casually walk back to the LZ but then it hits me, "oh crap, there's a spawn behind the double split room" so I try to hoof it there and force the spawn to start somewhere else.

Yeah, didn't make it and literally ran into adouble brute, double banshee with friends spawn...didn't even have time to equip my rocket before I was killed...

Glacier, Geth, Silver. Wave 3, hacking objective downstairs. The team includes 2 guys with N7 rankings with 4 figures and a low level Salarian Infil. The Salarian Infil and me go do the objective but the others do not. We keep getting surrounded by Hunters and it didn't seem like wave 3, more like wave 6.
One of the other two teammates dies stomped by a trooper and the other one rage quits after the third time he was killed in 3 waves (+ he was loaded with consumables ; I don't know how he managed that).

Whenever all my team suddenly start running into walls, and enemies start floating into the air, for about 20 seconds.

Then, the game resyncs from the lag bubble, and I get to see what the hell happened for the last half a minute or so.

"You know, I've never really enjoyed playing an Engineer. I think I'll try out a Quarian Engineer."

*sets up a QE*

*sets search to Random, not Bronze*

*loads into wave 3 of a Platinum*

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

The husk grab conga line. I'm not sure if its better when ravagers/maraudrs are around to finnish you off or deal with the husks wearing you down 'til you die.

Running into a grenade that's just about out of time.

Smoke when you desperately need to charge. Also if they drop it on a hack just before you get to it and can't target the damn thing to activate it.

While figuring out the Shadow Strike I felt it was a good idea to use it on the first enemy that showed on the wave start. Next I see is a Cannibal getting slahed to death and a character trying frantically to escape the two Brutesand several Cannibals and Marauders that were just to turn around the corner.

Lessons learned:
1. Take your time and pick your target.
2. Hectic dodging will in 90% result in getting stuck to bad cover with the enemy pointing at you and laughing.
3. Running through Brutes is impossible. Even when cloaked. Teleport dodge test pending for this case.

Trying to put some distance between myself and a Phantom, I was running full-tilt boogey and rounded a corner only to run smack dab into an Atlas blocking the entire hallway. D'oh!

Turn a corner, start working on a Nemesis. Then I hear the "shink-shink-shink" of a up-until-then cloaked Phantom letting me know a stagger/sync-kill has just started.

Or that awkward moment when you take roll call and realize there's one too many N7 Shadows in the room with you, and one of them isn't an N7 Shadow or on your team.

Fun fact: a combination of "Jesus Christ sh** fu** Phantom" maks up about 70% of what I yell into my mic.

Firebase Dagger against Cerberus on Gold. Wave 9 or 10 (I can't remember exactly) I was across the map from the rest of my team after having hunted down the last Nemesis from the previous wave and I was trying to get back when the wave started. I round a corner and hey presto there were four Phantoms, an Atlas, and at least two Engineers with one of them already setting up a Turret. Needless to say I ran in the other direction and by some miracle didn't get downed. However one of my teammates found the sight of me running with bullets flying past my head incredibly hilarious and said, when he could breathe again, it looked like that scene out of Star Wars IV when Han is getting shot at by all of the Stormtroopers and then appears around the bend without a scratch on him. I still don't know how I survived.

Realizing I was on Platinum instead of Gold for the first time. And embracing the horror that was boss units on the first wave. Atlases right off the bat? Whoever made Platinum wasn't joking around that's for damn sure. We're playing on Firebase White/Cerberus, and we all camp in the control room.

So I decide to fight on, fighting what is arguably the toughest fight of my life. I've got decent teammates so we're holding the room alright. Barely actually. A few waves later, I hear a Banshee scream and I just think "oh hell no!"

We didn't last long.

getting buttraped by marauders and completely ignoring the banshee in front of you.
So you run into her.
And somehow survive.

I do this all the time. More so against reapers oddly enough.

"I need cover quick! This turian will help me. Just made it, now I can charge my shields and th-there's no turians on the team, is there? Aww. :("

6 seconds left to extract and you have 3-4 Phantoms in the extraction ring and an Atlas right next to it.

On Gold.

The first time I played as a squishy Asari Adept, I random searched into a Gold game and it was Reapers.

I took cover next to someone I assumed to be my Turian squadmate. Turned out it was a Marauder. Needless to say, it did not end well.

Another moment for me which actually is starting to become common is I will be doing my thing and hear team member down. Ok no problem I start my toward them when you hear another member down but in the other direction. Which one do I go for? Well I continue toward the first who gets stomped just as I arrive, dam it. Start going toward the other when the third player goes down. Again just before getting to the second guy he gets stomped. Pretty much rince and repeat. After "oh crap" I followed that up with "does anyone besides me have medigel?" Nothing but silence as I am forced to solo another wave.

With happiness, I was playing the N7 Slayer, wasn't hosting, with some friends, I was doing brilliantly, seriously I was playing the best I ever had, then I glitched out, with amusement, and I got even better, it made me just dodge everything.
After awhile the rest of the team went down, it was around wave seven or eight just unlucky you know, and I was still killing everything, it was down to an Atlas and a Phantom and maybe a few pieces of trash and then I suddenly started moving at about 0.0000001 miles an hour and got killed by the Phantom. With embarassment, yeah.

With hilarity, I played with someone who didn't realise it was Platinum, not sure if it was his first time or not, but right after the match he went "Oh s***, that was Platinum. I didn't realised you changed it."
