Your biggest "oh crap" moments

The second is from Glacier/Silver/Geth. Wave 10, Drone Escort, team gathers around drone and sets off. Artoo leads us round first corner into what can only be described as a "Wall of Geth". Just managed to dodge back round corner as rest of team died in a hail of plasma and rockets. Equipped missile launcher, dodged back to unleash death, first plasma ball hit before I finished my roll...you can guess the rest. This incident is the reason I now ALWAYS equip missile launcher at the end of wave 9.

-set everything to random except difficulty, leave it to bronze,
-join a game halfway through,
-poo myself when it's thrown me into a gold game,
-get excited cause it's wave 11 and there's 1 minute left and try my hardest to stay alive and help.
-can't believe my luck when through no fault of my own or exploiting anything I could get loads of credits
- all of us alive in the pick up at the end
- mission failure
-zero credits
-realise I probably broke the game for everyone else and their time was wasted.
-feels bad even though I had no control over it.
Oh crap

Reapers/Jade/Gold and we just completed a drone objective...and then we ALL casually walk back to the LZ but then it hits me, "oh crap, there's a spawn behind the double split room" so I try to hoof it there and force the spawn to start somewhere else.
Yeah, didn't make it and literally ran into adouble brute, double banshee with friends spawn...didn't even have time to equip my rocket before I was killed...

One of the other two teammates dies stomped by a trooper and the other one rage quits after the third time he was killed in 3 waves (+ he was loaded with consumables ; I don't know how he managed that).

Then, the game resyncs from the lag bubble, and I get to see what the hell happened for the last half a minute or so.

*sets up a QE*
*sets search to Random, not Bronze*
*loads into wave 3 of a Platinum*
"AAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Running into a grenade that's just about out of time.
Smoke when you desperately need to charge. Also if they drop it on a hack just before you get to it and can't target the damn thing to activate it.

Lessons learned:
1. Take your time and pick your target.
2. Hectic dodging will in 90% result in getting stuck to bad cover with the enemy pointing at you and laughing.
3. Running through Brutes is impossible. Even when cloaked. Teleport dodge test pending for this case.

The husk grab conga line. I'm not sure if its better when ravagers/maraudrs are around to finnish you off or deal with the husks wearing you down 'til you die.

Or that awkward moment when you take roll call and realize there's one too many N7 Shadows in the room with you, and one of them isn't an N7 Shadow or on your team.
Fun fact: a combination of "Jesus Christ sh** fu** Phantom" maks up about 70% of what I yell into my mic.

So I decide to fight on, fighting what is arguably the toughest fight of my life. I've got decent teammates so we're holding the room alright. Barely actually. A few waves later, I hear a Banshee scream and I just think "oh hell no!"
We didn't last long.

So you run into her.
And somehow survive.

Turn a corner, start working on a Nemesis. Then I hear the "shink-shink-shink" of a up-until-then cloaked Phantom letting me know a stagger/sync-kill has just started.

I do this all the time. More so against reapers oddly enough.

I took cover next to someone I assumed to be my Turian squadmate. Turned out it was a Marauder. Needless to say, it did not end well.

After awhile the rest of the team went down, it was around wave seven or eight just unlucky you know, and I was still killing everything, it was down to an Atlas and a Phantom and maybe a few pieces of trash and then I suddenly started moving at about 0.0000001 miles an hour and got killed by the Phantom. With embarassment, yeah.

Realizing I was on Platinum instead of Gold for the first time. And embracing the horror that was boss units on the first wave. Atlases right off the bat? Whoever made Platinum wasn't joking around that's for damn sure. We're playing on Firebase White/Cerberus, and we all camp in the control room.

With hilarity, I played with someone who didn't realise it was Platinum, not sure if it was his first time or not, but right after the match he went "Oh s***, that was Platinum. I didn't realised you changed it."
