I think the standard desert tileset has no water, but I could add it to the Tropical tileset. It' not much work.

@Asymmetric: You are right, i thought that the desert tileset had water, because I remembered an oasis. In the tropical tileset it'll work well, thanks.

My last addition are some pieces of clothes of Arabian pants and shoes, availables for all races and sexes in NWN, normal and large phenotype.

Shoes are designed for work well as a single shoe or as a part of a boot.

Now, I'm in no position to be making demands, given my status as a passive watcher of this unfolding awsome. However, I'd like to ask: Zwerkules, do you plan on working cliffs into that tileset? P'raps something as basic as the standard Bioware Desert cliffs?

I doubt that I'll have time to add cliffs.

Right, since there are already some cliffs in the tileset, I thought what was meant are the chasm-like cliffs.
I have no time to add anything like that.
If what was meant are the mountain-like cliffs, those are already included in this tileset.

@Zwerkules: Make a tileset is a Huge task; I admire you for your dedication. Your actual work is more than enough for this challenge, However I hope that you don't lose your motivation, and continue impoving your wonderfull tileset little by little in the future.....

I added the dhow to the Arabian Nights tileset now. Thanks, Asymmetric, for letting me use it.
I still need to make a docked version.

I have decided to add some music overwriting of the NWN desert themes; because I never like too much the originals. I have chose some themes from "Titan Quest" what are more beautifull and inmersive, in my opinion:

Desert day theme have been replace for TQ "Dunes"

Desert night theme have been replace for TQ "Nile"

Desert Combat theme have been replace for TQ "Egypt Generic Combat II"

Having finally been able to upgrade both my hd and my ram, I have been finally able to get all my source material into one place. During the course of this I found I had a few Zakharan (Al'Quadim) maps. I am now in the process of making 5 different map mats from among these. I have got the following maps-
  • The whole of Zakhara
  • The Northern half of Zakhara
  • The Southern half of Zakhara
  • The small region in the North that makes up the Corsair Domains
  • The City of Delights - Golden Huzuz
That will be a total of 60 placeables in all. I was wondering if these might be wanted for the ccc? Please let me know.

I know I said I was working on something genie related, but I got sidetracked and the switch from gmax to 3dsmax, and some improper modeling on my part too, it kind of got ruined. So no dynamic genies sadly! At least not from me... :mellow: Oh well!

@dusty.lane: why you don't try a no dynamic genie, maybe that could be easily. In my opinion the main role of genes is like a creature; characters, usually aren't genies. Because of that genies don't need to be a dynamic race.

keep up you always can add content to finished challenges, when ever you want, don't worry too much for the date limit.

One more Djinni tail would be a great addition.

The docks are finished and I also added a few tiles to make raised city terrain possible.
I didn't place any doors or placeables in this test area. Just imagine there being wares in the
shop and a bazaar on the raised city terrain between the dock and the buildings, peddlars sitting on carpets selling pottery, etc.

The raised city terrain was made from tiles from the TNO tileset and the dhow is the one Asymmetric allowed me to add to my tileset. The crane is from the Bioware city tileset, but I made some changes to it to make it look better.
